Excellent location. The train station and the electric train station was less than a 10-minute walk from the hotel. For me, I took the last electric train and returned to the station by early 1700 and strolled through the town center, dropped by the Mozart cafe for a cup of coffee and within 5 minutes, I was already in my room and had a glimpse of the sunset! As a whole, the hotel staff both at the counter and the dining room were good. My room was spacious with river and mountain views. It was clean and the bed was good. Onsen was excellent, especially the outdoor one. Both the breakfast and dinner were buffet. The varieties of food were reasonable, beef and fish were the outstanding ones.

The corridor to the rooms on the 4th floor is amazing. The room (modern Japanese) was equally amazing, spacious, and well equipped with a great view up the valley.. The hotel was just a 10-minute walk to the train station and the 'centre' of the village. The food in the r restaurant for both evening meal and breakfast was varied, well cooked and could not be faulted. All the staff were very friendly and helpful

A 2nd soft pillow would be perfect for us soft westerners.

A perfect stay at this Onsen hotel. Facilities are good with comfortable onsen bath, the outdoor one is excellent. We love the free drinks provided during the day as well as after the onsen bath. The breakfast and the dinner breakfast are great! We love the yukata provided-there are more than six choices for women and I could wear a different one everyday. The room is spacious with friendly staff.

Very clean, staff very helpful & attentive, the private onsen was fantastic, rooms were spacious & clean.

A bit local information in English & signage around the place, had to use google translate. English TV channel would have been nice to chill out at night

the view of the mountains and fall colours were awesome. the onsen was clean and big enough. loved the breakfast buffet. the japanese food options were great!
