The outdoor onsen was beautiful. The amenities and decoration inside the hotel were creative and many extra options given in the lounge area. It was a very pleasant stay.

One small downside about the room I stayed in (located next to the outdoors smoking area) was the light that was shining bright and inside the room. I suggest dimming or turning the lights off just as the rest of the garden to improve the quality of sleep. Another alternative would be to provide blinds for the windows next to this smoking area. Other than this, the stay was perfect.

I loved that they had designated times that you could interact with the property manager (which was a cat). I also really enjoyed the traditional Japanese experience, my room felt like I was walking into an olden day Japanese castle. The dining experience was also exceptional. It felt very homey and overall was an amazing experience worth the price paid.

The sweet treat I wanted to purchase from the gift shop was out of stock because it is so popular, that was the only thing I disliked (of course that was out of their control so I’m not mad).

Beautiful hotel with spacious rooms and lovely outside bath. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. Was a very relaxing place to stay. Would recommend the experience.

Wonderful stay! They are able to provide transportation from Tendo Station. The breakfast is also wonderful and the onsen is great, highly recommended!

The staff were super friendly, helpful, considerate and accommodating (arigatou Youko, Onuma, and Furuse!) Futon was EXTREMELY comfortable. Meals were a great pleasure - always a nice variety.

friendly staff, big rooms, excellent breakfast deal. great outdoor onsen. staff can drive you to the station, which was very convenient, as was the bus that goes to Yamadera and Ginzan Onsen.

location is tricky without a car but staff gives you a lift/pick-up at station (this could be better communicated as I found out by accident). Outdoor onsen is gorgeous but the shower should be inside. Be aware not much English is spoken.
