The hotel is very historical on the grounds of the local college and with such an amazing history from the late 1880s to today, was very neat ! It's small, quaint, blocks from downtown Faribault. It's priced a little more then the main street chain hotels by the interstate, but safer because it's on the grounds of a college surrounded by residential subdivisions. You will feel safe!

The only thing I didn't like was the jacuzzi hot tub/spa. I was expecting the jacuzzi to be a hot tub standalone, but the hot tub is a shower-jacuzzi tub like you would see in any residential house. Barely can fit two people, not able to socialize or have that face-to-face interaction.

Amazing history and fun campus, friendly staff, unique rooms. The man who checked us in was so friendly and gave us some great restaurant recommendations. Delicious food and memorable restaurants. He also told us about the Inn, and all its history. I appreciated that. He clearly has pride for his job and the building.

HARD TO FIND. And we were basically out of toilet paper on arrival, which was kind of annoying. Would have liked an ice machine too, especially since the ice maker in the “community fridge” was not working.

Peaceful, safe for solo female travelers; great hiking trails up and down behind the property; fresh fruit, snacks, hot beverages all day, and friendly staff.

Guest rooms are clean but nothing spectacular. I requested for a room with bathtub and a view of the woods. They graciously gave me just that. I enjoyed having breakfast (bagel, homemade peanut butter, fruit and coffee) sitting outside on one of the patios with beautiful campus view before me. Clock tower chimes every 15 mins during the day. That's a treat on top of "whooo whooo" from passing train down below us. I bought two jars of peanut butter made by the school. Very good.

Everything. The room was a perfect size. The inn is small and out of the hustle and bustle of the downtown but downtown was easily accessible. It was on a college campus but very quiet. The view out my window was a forest. The kitchen was well stocked for breakfast. And it was beautifully decorated for Christmas. A charming Inn.

The bed was too soft. It was very hard to find. My GPS didn't help.

Gorgeous windows with a beautiful view and excellent blackout shades for a good nights sleep. Our room was very large and comfortable.

Having a community, refrigerator and freezer and no fridge in the room was awkward because my son and I both have life-saving medicine that needs to be refrigerated. Keeping that medicine in a community area wasn't ideal and felt a little risky.

I liked everything! Very friendly staff, beautiful campus with walking trails and convenient location if you are traveling in southern MN. There was a lot of history tied to the inn which the front desk staff was able to tell us about. The inn was very clean with very comfortable beds. The breakfast is very simple, but there was everything from juice to milk and also coffee and rolls, bagels, and yoghurt. I absolutely would recommend the inn to anyone traveling to the Faribault area.

Nothing. Everything was great!!

The staff was pleasant, the grounds were dog friendly and we were able to bring our 2 chihuahuas who loved the pets and lovings from the staff. The facilities were clean and there was a snack area (granola bars, coffee, tea) available all day. There is a complimentary breakfast with the stay which was simple but filling-bagels, juice, cereal, fruit were the options. The value of the room was awesome. It was our 4 year anniversary and the staff was kind enough to print out a little sign and gift us a bottle of wine! Overall great stay, wonderful staff, lots of places to take walks on and a great price. Couldn't be happier that we found this little gem.

Beautiful setting, comfortable room, peaceful vibe, kitchen and goodies were perfect. Frig for the floor with post its was really nice concept. Even wine opener and glasses - classy and thoughtful Elevator was convenient even with only two levels

Can't think of a thing

This is a beautiful serene place to stay. Our room was well furnished with comfortable beds and had a lovely view of the woods. The Inn is nestled next to surrounding trees which were just starting to change colors. It is probably one of our favorite places to stay. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast had many options and was great! We also enjoyed being within the grounds of the beautiful boarding school with it’s stunning buildings.

A small nightlight in bathroom would be nice as it’s very dark. otherwise everything else was perfect!!

We stayed in a room with 2 Queen size beds to go to a concert in the auditorium at the college. It was great to be able to park and then walk over to the concert. The auditorium was awesome, Dessa put on a great show and we were able to walk back to the hotel. It snowed so it was extra great we didn't have to drive.
