I liked that the boutique Hotel was nested in a quiet part of the medieval city that was very walkable. Upon booking my room I was contacted by the host Katerina Koskina who was able to arrange a taxi to drop me off at the hotel in the medieval part of the city that has limited vehicle access. upon arrival Katerina gave me very accurate restaurant recommendations (Stavlos - grill restaurant was my favorite!). I was able to effectively communicate with the host through WhatsApp setting up my breakfast time, tour guide as well as my return time by taxi to the airport. I stayed in the spacious superior suite with my own private patio where I had my morning coffee and sumptuous breakfast enjoying the view of the restored medieval walls.

The best boutique experience we've had!! The owner of the house Katrina is a really charming, pleasant and helpful woman. She welcomed us with a tray of water and sweets. She gave us very worthwhile recommendations to visit the city and the island in general. The best service I have ever received. Very personal but also considerate of personal space and privacy. The location is right in the heart of the old city, close to everything but also very quiet and pleasant. The mattress in the bed is really, really comfortable!! Comfortable pillows and pleasant bedding. The rooms are decorated to a high standard, the whole hotel is a preserved building that has been lovingly renovated. And the breakfast is simply excellent at a high level! The experience was excellent, highly recommended! You can't fall in a hotel like this, just success!!

The location was perfectly situated right in the heart of the Old Town. The hotel was charming and historic and exactly as pictured. Our hosts were amazing, helpful and so attentive. We loved every minute of our stay and can't wait to go back. Breakfast was delicious and served outside every morning to a time that suited. They organised our boat trip to Marmaris and also our car hire. They also gave us an extensive list of recommendations for restaurants and attractions.

Everything was perfect related to our stay. Best host experience we have had. The Hosts responds fast to messages, arranged Taxi pick up from airport, and help us get a quality rental car. We were able to check in room early. Our Hosts prepared a good size breakfast with local ingredients and customize to us. Our Hosts took time with us when arrived and reviewed points of interest with us. The Hosts shared how they renovated the property and took special care in every detail. You can see the results by the unique selection of period pieces. I highly recommend the hotel, Hosts, and location.

The Porolithos Boutique hotel is a charming hotel that used to once be the home of medieval knights, tucked away in a quiet alleyway in the heart of the medieval city. The house has been lovingly restored by Katerina and Zafeiris. The attention to detail is unique and this is the most tasteful boutique hotel I have ever stayed in, replete with antique furniture, paintings of old Rhodes as well as antiques discovered during the renovation of the house. The hotel is very well kept with dazzling, sparkling clean bathrooms, and crisp clean sheets. Above all the most enjoyable aspect of the hotel is the hospitality of Katerina and Zafeiris, who provided me with much useful interesting details in Rhodes and the surrounding islands, help with my attempt to learn the Greek language as well as hearty breakfasts of Greek delights, including cheese pies, that will make lunch redundant.

The Porolithos hotel is one of the most beautiful and amazing places we have ever stayed. The owners, Katerina and her husband, have done an amazing, thoughtful and loving restoration of this 600+ year old building. Incredibly, they’ve managed to blend ancient construction with modern amenities beautifully! The breakfasts were individually prepared for each of their guests, used local ingredients and so very delicious. We also appreciate the assistance Katerina provided with airport transportation and arranging for a wonderful tour to Symi. The location is quiet and perfectly located for exploring the old town on foot. When we return, we will stay here again!

It was very unique - full of history. The restoration was spectacular - and right in the middle of the Old Town. Close to everything! Katerina and her husband running the hotel were magnificent. So friendly, kind and helpful. They couldn’t do enough for us. I’ve never experienced this level of hospitality before. Right from greeting and welcoming us, to the beautiful room, delicious breakfasts and finally waving us off on our departure. An incredible property and our stay I will never forget. I HIGHLY recommend this property.

Our stay was excellent. Katerina and her husband were great host. We enjoyed our conversation with them and their daughter. Their B&B is beauitful and breakfast exceeded expectations. Location was also great!

Parking was a problem but that’s to be expected since it’s in old town. What would be helpful for future guests is to let them know where they recommend finding a place to park prior to arriving. Something to think about is investing in a golf cart to meet guests at the gate and bring them and their luggage to the hotel. Also, our air conditioner did not do a good job cooling off the room

Wonderful historical hotel with nice hospitality. Very good breakfast in a quiet garden. I really appreciate that I could stay in such a historical special place. Great location for walk around in old city. I even walked to the beach in the new town section. Staying in the historical environment was my goal and I really appreciate the experience.

It is hard to find the hotel in maze of old town. The direction was given, but when I searched the Culture center in google, it showed the one in new town. Later I noticed the Culture center just inside the old town gate where I could take a mini cart to get to this hotel. Maybe a better instruction with a map can be posted in the hotel homepage. It was very dark and could not find light switch without anyone around when I came back at night. I still enjoyed staying at this hotel.

Everything. The location is very central but also just magical, the conversion of the original building is so well done and it has to be seen to be believed. Lovingly restored, beautiful room, comfy bed, incredible people who went above and beyond in every aspect. Super clean, they also installed a water filter so you could drink the water from the taps, amazing shower but the highlight was always the breakfast. Every morning was something new and everything was so fresh, local produce and tasted unbelievable. Our trip was already good but staying here made it perfect. I can't recommend this place highly enough for the location and amenities but the owners make it, they are the most incredibly thoughtful and generous people I have ever had the honour of meeting. We will absolutely be back!
