The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and made us feel like part of the family. We arrived by taxi because our car had broken down, and we had lots of boxes, 2 bikes and a bike carrier; they gave us access to their storage and helped us carry everything not required in our room. Good wifi throughout the building, which we needed in our situation with constant emails, and free too. They could not have been more helpful.

Very comfortable room with lovely combination of old world charm and modern amenities. Excellent bathroom. Great breakfast with extensive selection of interesting sweet and savoury items along with eggs cooked to order. Enjoyable walk into Givet town, along a tarmac path next to the river - takes about 45 minutes each way.

Evening meal was not available when we stayed and the lovely looking bar seemed closed, both I suspect because we were possibly the only guests that night. As it turned out, it was not a major issue as the walk into town was agreeable and Givet has plenty of places to eat and drink. Might have been different if it had been a wet and windy night though.

This was our second visit and we were very warmly welcomed by the new owners who were charming hosts. Comfortable bed and good breakfast. We had a very pleasant stay.

Toiletries could have been better plus more regular room clean/change of towels for those staying more than 1-2 nights. A little more investment in rooms and fittings would improve the stay even more.

This is a very nice place to stay. There is a wonderful atmosphere about this old Chateau and its quirky rooms which have been very well presented. The breakfast was excellent and it was very pleasant sitting out on the terrace late into the evening.

It is difficult to tell whether the issue we encountered was with the Chateau or with Booking.Com but the room we booked was not the one we received. The booking clearly stated we had booked a King size room with a view. The room we received was a Queen size room out the back. The owner offered a complimentary drink and claimed that what came through from Booking.Com did not specify. We were the last guests to arrive and the owner was unable to offer what was booked.

After seeing the crammed river banks downstream, it’s a real treat to find yourself in this cleverly stashed away pile with only the trees, wild geese and Meuse for neighbours. Comfortable room, everything fresh, clean and thoughtfully placed. Very enjoyable breakfast with fruit salad, freshly squeezed juice, smoked salmon, bissap, cheeses and fried eggs 😋 Perfect for an engagement or wedding party or to sleep over after one of the local fireworks displays in the summer.

Coffee machine in room was Nespresso 😮 I would have expected a more ethical brand.

A heavenly stay in this beautiful chateau. Funky inside and out. Gorgeous outside spaces to relax in. A lovely and friendly hostess. A real treat for us 4 cyclists. Lovely and generous breakfast.

We didnt like that our stay was only a one night booking 😁

Exceptional location. The host was very friendly and explained us (and gave is a form) how we could receive €100,- back from the departement Ardennen as a sort of marketing for the region. We didn’t know and therefore it was more or less a stay for free.

Beautiful stay surrounded by trees. Very friendly owners who made us feel at ease right from the start. Surroundings are really nice; isolated road through the fields for access, beautiful garden, great view on the meuse, and easy starting point for lots of visits. Rooms, breakfast and facilities all meet expectations and beyond. Also a nice terrace with a superb view where you can enjoy a drink when you feel like it.
