We recently had the pleasure of staying at Antonio's boutique hotel in Miglionico, and I can't recommend it highly enough. Antonio, our host, is not just exceptionally good at what he does; he goes above and beyond to make your stay memorable. As a philosophy teacher in Matera, he provided us with invaluable insights, maps, and guidance for exploring the beautiful city of Matera. Thanks to his thoughtful suggestions, we had an unforgettable time during our visit. Miglionico, where the hotel is located, proved to be an excellent base for exploring Matera and its surroundings. The convenience of the location made our daily adventures effortless. The breakfast was a delightful start to our days. It offered a continental spread with a homemade cake that was simply divine. Additionally, there was a great selection of milk, yogurts, and fruits to choose from. And coffee of course. All in all, I wholeheartedly recommend Antonio's boutique hotel to everyone. The combination of exceptional hospitality, a fantastic location, and delicious breakfast made our stay truly remarkable.

We had the most wonderful host who showed us around this lovely small authentic township - what to see, where to eat and about the towns history. We loved our overnight stay here with the panorama views over the township roofs. The wonderful onsite coffee and the breakfast was very generous. Easy parking and access so great vale for money. Quiet spot and straight out and into the township. Convenience store located next door - perfect for ice blocks in the heat.

there were 5 of us so there was a pull out bed but the beds were not the most comfortable if we had to be picky.

Absolutely amazing location, out or a movie set! Stunning property, excellent local food, super friendly locals and the host went out of his way to ensure our trip was spectacular, which it was. It is also very close to Matera which is a stunning town to visit. Make sure you eat in Miglionico because the food is much better here!

The pillows were quite large and not very comfortable. This disrupted our sleep. Breakfast is very Italian (sweets), perhaps not for everyone. That being said, this is EXCELLENT value for money, and if these things were to be improved, we would happily call this a 5 star boutique hotel!

Beautiful property in a lovely little village near Matera. The room was very comfortable, and we enjoyed the rooftop patio area. Perfect in every way.

Sadly, the local restaurant was quite disappointing. The service was slow and limited. The meal was also not of the same standard we have enjoyed so far in Italy. Traveling to Matera for supper would have been a better option. There are no real supper options in this beautiful little village.

We loved the location and super friendly hosts. The guesthouse is situated in the old part of Miglionico and you get a true feeling of the Italian way of life with all the locals coming together in the evenings in the small plaza. It's also peaceful to stay there, away from the busy crowds, but very close to Matera. The was also a beautiful view over the valley.

Antonio was a perfect host. He looked after us so well. The Residence is an amazing building, beautifully restored inside. Our room (the quadruple) was large, very clean and had a nice view. Breakfast was good. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place.

We liked absolutely everything

Antonio has created a wonderful boutique bed and breakfast and is very helpful to ensure you have a memorable time in this idealic little village that epitomizes southern Italy. A great place to use as a base to explore Matera then escape to this haven.

The Residenza is a very nice place to stay. The owner is more than heplful. Since we arrived on our bikes on Monday where all the restaurants are closed, he made sure that we get enough to eat at a cousins place. Thank you again!

The host was wery wellcoming from the beginning (allowing us the late check-in), and giving us the helpfull information about Matera visit and dinner options. The accomodation itself is a very tastefully designed new apartments within an old trafitional town centre. Rooms are very coasy, pleanty of space, and a terrace. Also an option to have breakfast on the terrace which has a nice overview of the area. Breakfast was also plentyfull, with a few nice touches (hoast's wifes cake). We only spent one night, so I can't say nuch about the town, however it is certainly a nice to relax and enjoy quiet time. I would fully recommend :).

The previous night we'd stayed in a five star hotel celebrating a 50th birthday, and chose to stay at Residenza delle Grazie because even though we were planning to stay in Matera a friend highly recommended the place. And we were absolutely not disappointed, The accommodation is extremely comfortable and the owner is a charming, helpful and knowledgeable host who thankfully explained how best to see Matera. The pictures online really do this B&B no justice, It has been superbly renovated and lots of interesting original details have been retained. The rooms are extremely comfortable and well appointed and the ample breakfast was served on a wonderful panoramic terrace. The town itself is small but the church and castle both contain important artworks and are well worth a visit. We dined at the Agriturismo Podere Montaglioni which is five minutes from town and had a twelve course meal comprised of all the local specialities, and wine for next to nothing. Matera is about fifteen minutes away and whilst it is a gorgeous town it is overrun with tourists, tourist shops and restaurants and is quite exhausting to visit. If you want to experience the real Italy I'd highly recommend you stay at Montaglione and immerse yourself in the local culture and cuisine and just dip- into Matera for a visit. Thanks so much.
