A charming house with a lovely garden full of hydrangeas. Very ‘Brittany’. Our garden room was slightly cramped but well-enough appointed with a good shower.

Very little. A kettle is available and it would have been good for us Brits to see a few tea bags, coffee and milk available, but Claire was there almost all the time and was most obliging.

Property was maintained and welcoming. Stylish with beautiful French decor.

Possibly not conducive if one cannot manger small staircases to get to your room. We didn’t mind as quaint but could be difficult with much luggage.

Staying at Maison de Claire was a lovely experience. Claire, the hostess, was charming and welcomed us warmly, and the room was delightfully traditional and perfectly comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and home-made, with more tea or coffee if we wanted it. Our one night stay was a perfect start to our short cycling holiday in Brittany. In fact, there are cycling routes signed from right outside Maison de Claire, although we didn't explore those. Maison de Claire is next door to the town church, but the clock stops striking overnight, so we slept very well!

The only thing that stopped a 10/10 from us was the lack of amenities in the town itself, although it was beautiful in its way. That just meant a 10-15 minute drive to Pontorson for our evening meal (rightly recommended by Claire herself).

Lovely and charming place with lots of character! Claire is an exquisite, generous and charming host. Definitely a place to come back to!

Claire was very nice and gave us a warm welcome, even though we arrived late. The place is very clean and has nice outside facilities- we booked the room with the balcony, which is very spacious.

Quiet, friendly and peaceful

We could not ask for more and the host is very accommodating. Love this place and its like staying back n time.

A charming and attentive host and a good breakfast, but the room was, sadly, rather disappointing.

The room, which was downstairs with garden access, was very damp and dark - regrettably more reminiscent of the interior of a Church than of a cosy bedroom! As a result, whilst the bed was comfortable, both it and the bed-clothes felt clammy. We subsequently realised that our room was north-facing with three granite outside walls and a flat roof, so this was probably rather inevitable! Whilst the furniture and fittings had a certain old-fashioned charm (if rather dated!), the actual shower was surprisingly modern.
