We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful property in Dakhla. First of all it was great value for money vs other resorts - the rooms were very spacious and clean. The decor and views were super, and service was excellent. The front desk has a WhatsApp chat and Mahfouz + Khalil (and Hussein the night guard) were always super helpful whenever we needed anything. The restaurant was excellent: you don't get one of these mass buffets but rather an a la carte full-board experience with delicious dishes and juices. Bravo chef! Important: we are kitesurfers. The school is very well equipped with a great team. They have Naish gear and the beach is just a short walk but the guys always drove us in their car and helped us setup our kites + launch (even though we did not rent and had our own gear). Samy + Omar + Sarah and Oussama you guys are the best, thank you! Some people can get put off by the fact that there is a road crossing, but it's honestly so minor. Like I said, you are driven there and back. You just need to be organized about when you want to go so the school can help you. The school has storage facilities and areas for kite gear - FYI.

The location on Booking.com is inaccurate, it's a much better location if you look at the hotel on Google Maps! I suspect this is costing the hotel and we asked them to change it to reflect this positive fact, so for those looking do check out the Google Maps location which is more accurate. It's a great location and right on the top of the lagoon for those who kite!

The food was amazing, everyday. A great mix of local Moroccan and international food. The homemade Msemmen was my favourite thing to look forward to every morning! Considering it was included in the price and À la carte, portions were generous and there were multiple courses for every sitting. The staff were all fantastic and couldn't be more helpful. Special shout out to Hamid, Mahfoud, Zineb and Salima who made our holiday extra special including the effort they went to for my partners birthday, including petals, balloons and a cake. The lagoon is very close as are other activities. Our room was very big and spacious and the view both in daytime and night were fantastic. We slept very well.

There are a few small improvements that could be made, but once you relax and understand that you are literally in the desert, you will look past these small things - they become insignificant. Whilst all the staff were friendly and amazing, it is sometimes hard to tell who is staff or a local/visitor as they don't wear a uniform or name badge. Something small that makes them recognisable like a name or logo badge would be helpful. The pool is too cold even when hot, but I imagine in peak high temperature season, it may be easier to get in. It would be good to have a regular shuttle or service to travel to the town or other locations that you cannot walk to - this was otherwise too expensive to hire a private taxi for one off excursions so we missed out on seeing some places/attractions.

WOW! I loved staying at Habitas. From the moment I arrived, I felt so warmly welcomed and at home. My room was absolutely beautiful and comfortable for my stay which was long (2 weeks). The food was fantastic. Each breakfast I would have orange juice, coffee, Moroccan crepes (Msemen) with butter, peanut butter, and jelly and then get to order the actual main breakfast. All of that was included in breakfast. For lunch you get an app and a main and for dinner you get an app and a main. They are also very flexible if you want to order something else. The pool area is incredible and it's nice having a bar there to order drinks, smoothies, juices, etc. Kitesurfing is readily available down the driveway to the lagoon and it's fun watching everyone kitesurf from laying by the pool. There is security letting cars in and out of the property. Thank you to Zakaria, Zineb, Yasin, Hamid, Mourad, Sufian, Mahfoud, Nassim, Jalal, and Saad for making my stay incredible and being my new friends!

There was nothing that I did not like.

Habitas Caravan is perfectly positioned on the shore of the Dakhla Lagoon, making it easy to split your day into two kiting sessions—one in the morning and one in the afternoon—with just a quick crossing of the main road to reach the beach. We stayed in the ‘Desert Riad’ rooms, which were more than sufficient for our needs. Kite spot:From day one, Fatah and the entire crew went above and beyond to ensure we had everything needed to enjoy our kiting experience to the fullest and made us feel completely at home. Whether it was helping me properly mount the fins on my board, driving us close to the shore while carrying all our gear, their attention to detail was remarkable. We rented some of their equipment, brought some of our own, and also used their storage facilities. The school offers beginner courses and always prioritize safety. For instance, they chose to cancel our lessons on a day when the wind was too strong for our level. On our last day, they even helped us clean and dry our kites to prepare them for the journey home. Staff:From the reception team to the restaurant staff, the pool bar crew, the cleaning lady, everyone consistently went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience possible. Their recommendations for activities outside the hotel (Le Ranch des Dunes is a must-see), truly made a difference. I especially want to mention Mahfoud and Zineb, who were extremely helpful even after we left. When one of our luggage pieces didn’t arrive home with us, we reached out to the hotel staff for assistance since we couldn’t get in touch with anyone at Dakhla Airport. Restaurant:Finally, the food definitely deserves a mention. We opted for the full board option, which included à la carte breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the quality and flavor of the meals were exceptional. The calm and soothing music in the restaurant area enhanced the serene atmosphere We’ll definitely return soon and will always cherish the wonderful memories of this holliday!

Upscale place with very professional staff. I enjoyed the free yoga class - and the teacher was great. I enjoyed the breakfast/lunch/dinner - the main differentiator to the other two places I stayed at is the 'a la carte' option, which was nice.

Room is a bit expensive for solo travelers, but still good value considering it is full board (and food is great). My room only had small windows and no view and little with regards to ventilation (but there are more other, more expensive rooms, with presumably a nicer view). Did not care too much about the 15 Euro (?) per day storage fee (and they apparently frown upon keeping your gear in your room).

Nothing. Room for improvement: we thought there could be tea and coffee available throughout the day.

Everything was great from the guest services, food, and room and facilities. Mahfoud and Khalil at reception were great hosts along with Khalil and his team at F&B and Khalid and his crew at the Kite school. They all immediately made us feel like it was our home.

Nothing that I didn’t like, however, having windows in the room (We stayed in the Oasis room) that we could open would be beneficial to improve air circulation and improve cooling in case it gets too warm and stuff in the room. The fresh juices on the menu were not available during our stay.

The staff make the place! It feels like a home away from home. Bilal and the rest of the team were warm, friendly, helpful and funny. We had a very nice time because they made sure everything was perfect! Samy and his kite team are incredible and really pushed this above ⬆️ our expectations! When you break up your day between lessons, meals and pool time time just flies when you’re having a good time! The chef and his kitchen staff create magic! As a foodie the idea of full board hotel scares me — but do not worry. The food is a la carte and you can choose from a variety of incredible meals. The chef build an amazing menu with daily additions depending on what fish was caught! The fresh oysters and ceviche were unparalleled!! Lots of activities keep the days / evenings fun like family dinners, Pétanque tournament, movie night, card games really made it feel much more like a community than “a hotel stay”!

It was really a excellent experience stay over there, bueatiful location, the room is big, clean and super chic, well styled and charming, very nice and delicious food, the staff are super warm, friendly.

The music in the public area sometimes are too load, will be nice if keep clam in some moments. A bit too much flys in the restaurant. The management lever should be improved, English communication is a bit difficult over there, in the last day I leave, it was very early in the morning, I asked for a breakfast take away the day before, seems it’s prepared, but in the morning I leave, no one can find the take away breakfast.
