I had a wonderful night at the hotel! The place had a beautiful view, and the room was impeccably clean. The reception staff went above and beyond by upgrading my reservation to a better room free of charge. The food was also delicious and fresh. The staff’s attitude and professionalism were truly outstanding.

I spent two weeks in this beautiful hotel, I felt like home. The food is just amazing, the stuff is super helpful, the position for kiting is just the best. I couldn't be happier with my choice! I have been also lucky, because during my staying I met many different solo traveler and this made my trip in this Hotel and in Dakhla even more magic. See you next time.

The Desert Sands is definitely the place to stay in Dakhla. The kindness and help of the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms and the common areas, and the delicious food are among the best I've seen in a hotel. Also the views are amazing and they are really close to the beach. Regarding kitesurf, they give a complete attention while you are on the water, help you with your gear and offer a good set of excursions that make the most of your trip. I'm sure I'll stay here again next time I come to Dakhla.

The staff were very friendly, attentive and responsive in all matters. The food was especially delicious and varied, and special diets were taken into account. The room was tidied up every day. The restaurant/bar is probably one of the best features of the place - the area is spacious, with plenty of natural light. One can watch the sun rise (or set) through the large glass windows and there is a direct view over the lagoon. The proximity to water is very convenient, with uncomplicated access if you wish to go for a swim or launch a kite across the road from the property. The hotel is also very peaceful, which is perfect if you are looking for a relaxing atmosphere. Good value for money overall.

Seeing as it is a new hotel that is just getting started in the area, at the time of this review, the selection of water sports equipment is still limited, which can become an issue if you are a larger group looking to rent equipment. This, I believe, is likely to change in the future.

This place is such a great value - especially for solo travelers. Really enjoyed the food and the vibes - awesome staff. Compared to the other (much bigger) places in the area, this is a much more personal experience and it is much easier to connect to the other guests. E.g., they organized a bonfire for the guest - and the guests were actually attending (one of the other bigger places I stayed at had similar events, but no one showed up). They also helped me launch and land - without trying to bait you into taking classes. Shared bathrooms were very clean. Tent was simple and spacious - perfect for me. I will definitely stay at Desert Sands again on my next trip to Dakhla.

The Lagoon resorts are all a bit pricey but this represents especially poor value. The representation via the booking app is not quite the reality of what you get

Amazing lovation for people who love the aquatic sports Right in front of the hotel a flat beach were you can enjoy the view and also have lots of fun rather doing Kite surf or jet ski or even a normal walk (it gets so wendy by the day but it's all good.. it's a part of the whole experience)

•the electricity went out when we were in the middle of the night in our tent they explained later that due to the sun power solar panels needs to recharge again and also they have fixed a specific time at night ( arround 2-3 in the morning ) to shut it off •keep in mind that the bathrooms and showers are not in the room they are seperate from it

I had a lovely 9 day stay at Desert Sands and I couldn't be any happier. The camp is situated within a walking distance from the kite lagoon and it has everything what a kite surfer might need: big storage, cozy and spacious common spaces with a bar, great vibe, beautiful views on the lagoon, simple but nice and clean rooms. I was particularly touched by genuine kindness and hospitality of all the staff and owner. They really go an extra mile to make you enjoy your stay. But the cherry on the cake is the food. Fresh and delicious prepared daily by a chef who in my view must have previously worked in a Michelin starred restaurant ;-). Also the prices are very correct for what you get in return. Looking forward to returning asap. P.s. take a furnished tent as I did. Surprisingly they are cool during the day and keep well the warmth at night. And to sleep in one feels like being on a desert adventure. Shukram guys and see you soon!

Very friendly staff. Helpful and understanding when I needed to check out earlier than planned. Nice atmosphere in the common room, friendly other guests and community. Very good food served, with varying dishes everyday. Free airport service. Everything was maintained clean.

The bed and pillows could be a bit more comfy. Curtains in the rooms would be nice.

The camping is really near to the kite surfing spot. New restaurant and clear. The stuff are very kind and helpful. Enjoy good staying there for nearly 3 weeks!

The water pressure and quite cold water for shower after sunset. But I understand that we are in desert so ok for me.
