This hotel was wonderful! We had booked a via ferrata and overnight hike excursion with Trolltunga Active, so this hotel was the perfect location. The views from our room were absolutely stunning. We could not get over how beautiful it was! The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. My husband and I took several lovely walks around the property and the town, Odda is a very special place! There is a very nice restaurant in the hotel, but due to our planned excursion, we were unable to eat dinner there. However! During our Trolltunga hike, the meals we brought to the top of the mountain were made at the restaurant and they were absolutely delicious! We also enjoyed the breakfast in the mornings. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would certainly recommend it to others!

The hotel room did get a little warm in the evenings and opening the windows let in bugs due to there being no screens. However we asked for a small fan at the front desk and was provided one, which was very helpful! Other than that very very minor thing, this hotel is great.

Great location. Rooms small but comfortable. We had room 222 which had a lovely view over the river below. Easy walk into town. Breakfast buffet simple but good. Laundry facilities available but no dryer. Ana was sweet and helpful and gave us great ideas for a hike and dinner restaurant in town which we enjoyed.

They had our booking in their system but had not allocated a room to us and the hotel was full. Of course they blamed it on booking.com. Ana did her best to accommodate us tho we didn’t get the room i had booked and yet we were charged the same rate. They did give us 50% off our dinner the first night.

Right on the fjord and the views from the bar and restaurant are stunning. I could just sit and watch the day pass with this gorgeous view. I really loved the local cider that is served here and served in a wine glass which just makes it more special. The room was so comfortable. I got one with a view of the fjord and it was just the best to chill and watch the water move through. Breakfast was brilliant. Such a great spread and they do cater for gluten free just give them a bit of notice. The resturant for lunch and dinner were just as brilliant. I enjoyed everything. I stored luggage as I did an overnight hike and when I came back I got to use the dry room to dry out my boots and socks (I could have launder my clothes too but I was too tired). This place had everything you need for your trip to the fjords.

Just note this hotel is on the other side of Odda, which was not an issue for me. But it is something to consider if you are coming by bus from Oslo or Bergen. It is worth it to be away from the main area but you will need to walk or get another bus.

Good hotel with nice and clean room overlooking the nearby mountains, lake and river. The hotel was situated just at the edge of Odda at a lake. This hotel is an ideal “base camp “ if you want to hike to the Trolltunga. It takes about 25 minutes to reach the parking lot P2. The restaurant also served well prepared and delicious meals.

The layout of the breakfast bar is a bit awkward. There is a bit less room to move around. It can be especially crowded if you want to take your breakfast early (6 am) and lots of other people do so as well, planning to hike to the Trolltunga. But if you take breakfast after 7.30 it usually is quite a bit calmer.

I got to stay here twice (before and after my hike) and I was so happy I did - I even got the same room, which I loved. The view was just stunning. I just sat there with a hot drink watch the lighting change on the fjord - just stunning. Please read my other review for all the things I loved.

Not an issue for me, but just noting this hotel is on the other side of Odda so if you are catching the bus from Oslo or Bergen you will need to catch another bus or walk - it's worth it.

Excellent location with short drive to Trolltunga trailhead and parking, and pretty location overlooking the water. Room was small but very comfortable, perfectly clean, good shower. Breakfast was delicious and one of the best we had in Norway. We also ate dinner at the restaurant which was very tasty, the restaurant has all glass walls so you can enjoy the view. A drying room is available for your outdoor gear too.

Only complaint about the room is lack of electrical sockets - only one double socket that was accessible in the room, and awkwardly placed for use - maybe add an extension?

The beds and room allocated for what we paid was not proportional. Especially since it was low season. On our last day upon check out they closed the rest area because there was no available staff due to illness. We asked for late checkout and this was declined, so for me closing the reception when it should have been open as we had paid for this wasn't polite. But life happens.

Cute little hotel by the river. This hotel is great to stay at if you’re doing the Trolltunga hike through Trolltunga active as they do an info meeting the night before in the lobby. Breakfast is buffet style, simple but good. There is a dry room which also came in handy since my hiking shoes got wet from hiking in the snow and I needed to use them the following day. Recommend to get a room by the river for the views and sounds of the water. Met the owner and he seemed cool

Let me start off by saying - this place has "meh" reviews on google - for the life of me I cannot understand why - maybe because they were posted before renovations? Either way, the property and room (albeit the room I was in was simple) - was clean, new, and I couldn't believe the views I woke up to out of my window. The restaurant was fantastic - the location is perfect and the staff went above and beyond to help me with any question I had, made sure to leave a key out for me when I arrived weary at 4am after a long car drive and even helped me with laundry services. I know where I am going to stay when I am back in southern Norway!

Really nice breakfast, comfortable beds, nice instant coffee in rooms.

Rooms were very warm, would have appreciated a fan. Front desk worker didn’t have accurate information about the home we were doing, actually gave inaccurate advice. That could be improved, as so many people coming to this area are there for the hike.
