Stayed in July for 4 days with our family of four (two adults and two teens (18 and 16)) and it was a great fit for our needs. The home has ample space that we were able to spread out a bit more compared to the hotels we had been staying at which was a nice treat! Also, the location to the laundromat worked out perfectly since we needed to do a load of laundry at this stage in our 2 week trip (literally next door almost!). The proximity of the home to convenience stores and train stations was also a huge plus...really didn't want to leave this place as it started to feel like home as we acclimated to the area! Lastly, the communication with the owner of the property was easy...just used WhatsApp once when we arrived to advise of an issue and they were responsive right away.

The ONLY thing that other reviewers may have mentioned are the REALLY steep stairs leading up to the bedrooms which is very important to note. If you have a small child or someone who has mobility issues, then this location is NOT for you. It is not designed to be wheelchair accessible. All bedrooms are upstairs and the bathroom, kitchen, toilet, etc. are all downstairs where you enter from. Also, the bathtub/garden was underwhelming...the view of the "garden" is not very impressive and let a lot of bugs in and isn't maintained...so, we only used the bathtub once. The rest of the time we used the shower.

Apart from the strange kitchen and new bathtub, this place is pretty dingy and ill-equipped. It's a traditional house with paper thin walls, but it's right on very busy road, so it is incredibly noisy - all night - even though it claims to be o a quiet street. It also claims to have a washing machine but doesn't. It got very hot during the night while we were there but the air conditioning was so loud we could not use it. All this could perhaps be forgiven if it was cheap but in fact it cost us more per night than any of the other, much nicer self-catering accommodation we stayed in during our two weeks in Japan. I do NOT recommend this place.

The toilet and bathroom were good and the kitchen was quite reasonable. The distance (500 metres) from a railway station was good.

I slept poorly due to the traffic noise. (I was in the bedroom next to the main road.) The chairs were uncomfortable. One of them had a broken leg. The stairs were very steep and the rickety hand rail was held in at the top by two bent nails. It did not feel safe. There was no washing machine although the website said that there was one. If the website had said the truth about this then we would not have stayed here.

First the entrance has no security the garden portal is the only locked door. There is NO washing machine don t be bait. Then the house, half in rénovation with any isolation so you will hear the trafic and super hot in summer or super cold in winter. There is a some dirty cloths used as curtains. Now the bed, there was the most inconfortable futton EVER. Forget the bright picture of a cosy place this house is dark and old. Oh and if you have mobility problem you will stay outside.. this house is a scam by someone paying is rénovation using your money.
