Location is incredible, on top of a mountain with great views of Bad Harzburg and the forest around. Food taste good. Nice room, overall good comfort and clean bathroom.

Terrible WiFi, made me pay twice during dinner as according to the waitress the payment didn't come through, but I told her I see it on my bank account, yet I had to pay again. During check-out I had to leave banking details and within a few days I had my money back. Hardly English speaking personnel but friendly. Except for the woman at the main hotel (check-in) She tries to avoid foreign (non german speaking) people I guess.

This is a the most wonderful place to stay. The staff and patrons are so friendly. And the breakfasts are included in your stay. The quality of food and service blew us away. They also offer complimentary cocktails if you forgo daily cleaning services. Which we greatly enjoyed! Note that you can’t drive here, you must park at their sister hotel in the town and take the cable car up the mountain. You get unlimited passes to use the cable car.

Just know that it’s important to speak German or have a good translation app on your phone to stay here.

Both the evening meal (Flammkuchen Province and Creme Brûlée) and the breakfast were delicious and beautifully served with plenty of colourful fruit. The staff were very friendly and helpful, lending us a charger for our phones and giving us tips on the best food combinations, which turned out to be spot on! The room was tastefully decorated and spacious with a fire and a vinyl player. The balcony had a little table and two chairs (chair cushions provided) and was perfect for sitting out in the sun or watching the sun set in the evening . The views were spectacular and it was so quiet and relaxing that winding down was extremely easy so that we came back rested, even after just a short stay. Wifi was also excellent so that we were both able to work in the morning before leaving. Both checking in and out was simple and staff were very relaxed about times - breakfast runs until 11.30 and you can pack up afterwards, before wandering over to the cable car to travel back down. All in all, one of the best stays I’ve had in a hotel in a long time and I can fully recommend this place for anyone needing to get away for a bit.

The only thing that wasn’t perfect about our stay was that the bed was a little too hard for me. If there had been an extra duvet in the wardrobe I would have used it as a mattress topper to soften the bed but unfortunately there was neither an extra duvet nor extra pillows in the room and no one around to ask for them. That would be my only suggestion for improvement.

Fantastic hotel up in mountains. Access via cable car - last trip from bottom kl. 18. So, at least when it is dark early, one stays up at hotel until dawn next day. You can walk down the mountain but we had a puppy with us, so this was not an option. Also there was no lighting on path, so impossible to negotiate in dark. Food and staff excellent. Room had balcony overlooking the mountains.We would definately visit again.

Everything was perfect. A few more outdoor lights would be nice, very difficult to take dogs for their evening walk in pitch black.

The Aussichtsreich is a place with lovely hidden details and surprises. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing and the meals were excellent. We highly recommend the house with the extraordinary location.

The apartment was pretty and cozy in Christmas, kitchen has everything to use.

The apartment was cold as the heater was not open yet until we went.
