Stopped here after a cruise. Hotel is very near ship berth and across from the ferry terminal making it very easy to get to. Restaurant and roof top closed due to high winds expected for 3 days. Coffee shop was convenient and had wifi while waiting for 3pm checkin. Room had king bed facing the waterfront. Double sliding doors made the street room quiet.

No early check in had to wait until 3pm for keys even though we arrived at 9am. Hotel did store luggage while we when into town to sightsee and have lunch.

Clean excellent location to explore Papeete and to join cruise.

Can be noisy due to road and music. If you want quiet insist on mountain side. Booking does NOT indicate in description what side the room would be 👎👎👎.

Very comfortable and great location

4000 xpf for 1 L water bottle (35:USD) seriously for water?:you go to any convenience store and it costs 2 USD or less. When I got to the hotel I was thirsty, the least they should offer is one bottle of water free as a courtesy. I went to sleep and next day I went to a super market and bought some water.

The room was great, large bathroom and very comfortable bed. It was also very close the the cruise port which was the purpose of our visit to Tahiti.

We tried the buffet breakfast and were disappointed, they were out of many basic breakfast items by about 8:00 am. We mentioned it to the front desk and refunded the breakfast charge👍

Our room was large with nice view and balcony. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Although not owned by hotel there was a very nice restaurant on top floor with gorgeous ocean and mountain views and wonderful food. Hotel convenient you shopping and tourist attractions. We liked the fact that they offered guests bathrooms to shower and change clothes before flights and made tourist excursions for guests.

The lobby was quite warm during our February stay. They need to install some fans in the lobby area if they don’t wish to air condition it due to so much foot traffic coming in and out.

We stayed here twice. Once at the beginning of our trip after flying in, and the last night two weeks later before flying back home. The location is wonderful, right across the street from the Ferry Terminal. It is also right down the street from the Papeete Market. Both of our rooms were very comfortable. The first had a balcony overlooking the port, with a view of Moorea, our next destination. It was a large, comfortable room with a great bed, mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave, and large bathroom with a huge shower. Same for the second room, but with an even better coffee maker, that had a built-in coffee grinder. When we checked out, we were able to store our luggage for hours while we went to the market. The staff allowed us to stay for hours in a beautiful common area on the second floor with couches, chairs, and ice water. We were even allowed to take a shower, even though we had checked out hours before. The restaurant upstairs is wonderful, if a bit pricey, and the coffee shop on the first floor also has amazing food at very reasonable prices. The young gentlemen working in the coffee shop are extremely helpful. The reception staff were also very helpful, answering our questions, and brought out our luggage for us twice to get out items we needed before we finally left for our flight late in the afternoon. I can't say enough positive things about Hotel Kon Tiki, and if we ever visit French Polynesia again, we will definitely be back.

Excellent location, across from the ferry station. Clean and spacious rooms and friendly staff. We enjoyed having little breakfast at the Coffee shop next door as well as the roof top with the great view where we had some drinks and appetizers.

We booked 5 rooms, 3 of our rooms were on the 6th floor and the restaurant is located right above on the 7th floor. In the evenings, starting right around 9 pm, we could hear a lot of noise from the restaurant as they were sorting out the chairs and tables which was really annoying and disturbing. I wish, we had been given a choice or at least a heads-up at the time of booking or checking in about the approximate of these rooms to the restaurant and the noise.

The room was spacious, modern, and well-appointed. A thoughtful touch was that they had already made up the sofa bed for our 9-year-old, making our arrival seamless and comfortable. The location is incredibly convenient—right across the street from the main ferry terminal and just a short 10-minute walk to Papeete Market, perfect for exploring the local culture and shopping. Breakfast was a highlight of our stay. The spread included fresh fruit, delicious juices, and a wonderful selection of bakery items that made for the perfect start to the day. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making our short stay even more enjoyable. Getting to the hotel from the airport was easy, with about a $40 taxi ride. Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

Great location if you are staying the night before or after taking the ferry. Right across the street from the ferry dock. Nice room with good amenities. Comfortable and clean. The cafe attached to the hotel is super cute. The restaurant on the top floor and the rooftop bar are very nice. The rooftop bar was closed the night we stayed here so we did not have any noise issues. However, our friends told us the night they stayed at this hotel when the rooftop bar was open, it was really loud.

The bathroom features a shower and excellent toiletries 🚿. 📍 Convenient location near the port. 🍹 The hotel has a rooftop cocktail bar, and underneath it, there's a restaurant with great craft beer 🍺. 👫 The staff is very friendly and always ready to help. There's a cozy café downstairs with delicious pastries and aromatic coffee ☕.

❌ The elevators are slow and stuffy (no ventilation). Additionally, two huge cockroaches were spotted 🦗. There's also a slight leakage from the shower into the middle of the bathroom 🚿.
