This is certainly a special hotel and so pleased we found it! I read lots of reviews and it really is a must visit for not only the friendliness of all the staff but the welcome to ourselves and our dog. Our room was perfect, situated in front of the pool and lovely to sit outside after a long drive and enjoy a recommended bottle of wine with our tired and not so young puppy (she didn’t partake and stuck to water!) The restaurant in the evening was also fabulous and the food delicious, the whole ambiance relaxing and sorry it was just a one night stay on our journey to the Algarve. The breakfast was also very good with so much choice. We would highly recommend and will most certainly try to put it on our agenda for future travel.

Absolutely nothing other than we only stayed one night!

Clean, comfortable with helpful staff. Good restaurant. Good location for Camino St Jacques stop over. Across the street was a useful collection of food shops. Small market on Sunday morning.

Breakfast was just ok, did not match the €20 weekend charge. No cafe au lait available from the breakfast coffee machine, cappuccino was also not working properly. Apparently, no milk and was not possible to fix. A good cup of coffee is important to start my day. No reception staff on Sunday morning.

Lovely quirky accommodation, very peaceful. Nice pool area and surroundings. Meal was very good and staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant was very popular in the evening so glad we booked a table.

Nothing. I thought the restaurant prices were on the high side but as it was very busy I may be out of touch with prices in France.

Spacious room with a small private outdoor area. Swimming pool. Nice setting with chairs and places to sit outside. On site restaurant. The receptionist the day we arrived 18/9/24 was a young lady proficient in English and just helpful and friendly. She had a lovely custom service manner.

It would have been useful to have a few towel hooks or racks in the bathroom.

Very clean, very picturesque, friendly staff, nice diner, nice bed. Free parking. Lovely stay.

Only one possible thing to improve: The door in the room has a window in the top. This window has no curtain so in the morning you wake up from the light coming in. Some people might like this, but I personally would like the possibility to darken the room.

What a warm welcome! The staff were so friendly and took the time to show us round. Dinner in the restaurant was a delight as was the breakfast, which surpassed itself in homemade pancakes and madeleines as well as beautifully prepared fresh fruit. We stayed in the annex and loved the little garden we had outside as well as the electric blind which darkened the room perfectly for a good night's sleep.

I would have liked a bigger bed.

I stayed in the annex with my dog, which was convenient and with car parking right in front. It was comfortable, clean and quiet. However the main reason I always stay in le Resinier is their restaurant which is excellent and a treat after a long day’s driving.

Dinner was amazing, likely the best meal of my 2 month trip. Breakfast was very good.

Would have appreciated more casual dining, more options as a hotel guest. Things were a little stuffy, to upscale for pilgrim walking to Santiago.

Interesting property with good facilities, a variety of unique rooms and a fantastic, bar/pool space. Restaurant was above average.

We stayed in winter and bathroom floors were freezing… service in the restaurant was ok, but uneven.

Quaint country-style atmosphere gave a home-feel. The staff at the reception was very friendly and efficient and spoke excellent English. The room was clean, the shower hot with plenty of water, so very welcoming after a long day’s driving. A highlight was dinner at the attached restaurant. The food was excellent and the portions much larger than expected. Breakfast was also good, with fresh croissants and rustic baguettes, fresh juice and a wide array of cheeses and spreads, though the selection of meat was very limited. But after the huge dinner, breakfast was hardly necessary!

Wifi in the corner room was very spotty, though it did work well in another room. Not all staff spoke English, but their cheery nature made that more charming than a problem.
