Breakfast buffet is amazing. Staff incredibly attentive and rooms very clean. Pools are lovely

Nothing, however we did have an issue one evening when we got a taxi to La manga booked by the hotel however they didn’t inform us that we wouldn’t be able to book a taxi back from there (30 mins away). We called the hotel to explain we were stranded and needed a taxi however they just told us we weren’t able to book one which was slightly disappointing. We also booked another one back from the shopping centre which never turned up so the taxis just aren’t overly reliable. Apart from that everything was fantastic, we would just know next time not to leave the complex unless you have hired a car!

The hotel is in a beautiful setting and smells wonderful as you enter. We were greeted by the friendly receptionist on our arrival and offered a glass of bubbles and fruit. Our room was upgraded and very comfortable with everything we required. We had a great view of the 18th hole from our terrace. The breakfast was one of the best breakfast selections we’ve ever had .

Only a two or three out of the numerous restaurants were opened and even though the staff were friendly it was all very busy with people being turned away for not booking ahead as the restaurants were full. We would have liked to have had a pre dinner drink outside over looking the golf course, but this was not possible as the two outdoor bars shut early and you had to use the indoor bar which didn’t have any views. We ended up taking our drinks on our bedroom terrace instead.

Location is great in a beautiful garden/ peaceful golf setting. The hotel has everything we need from lovely staff who genuinely can’t do enough for you, including the VIP lounge (if booked is fabulous, chilled relaxing), in the evening we visited the hotel bar, restaurants. There is something for everyone from a family pool to an adults only stunning infinity pool great for watching the final hole on one of the golf courses. Nearby in the La Manga village, a short walk away are further restaurants tapas bars, club, shops, supermarket etc including sporting facilities which include tennis, paddle courts and also the football and tennis academies. A completely relaxing wonderful place and within a short drive is the stunning beach of Cabo and a little further the beautiful city of Cartegena with its incredible preserved Roman amphitheatre a must to see.

Everything was very good. Jose at the reception was very helpful. Food was amazing.

The only thing that I have to highlight is the AC in the room. The system is very strange. When the room temperature reach the limit then the whole AC switches off. Including the fans not only the compressor. So the room gets so hot quickly then you have to wake up to uncover yourself. Then the AC starts again and it gets cold then you wake up to cover yourself. Normally the fan of the AC is working all the time and the compressor disconnects when the temperature limit reaches and then automatically connects again. All of this while the fan is running to keep the temperature in the room comfortable.

I’ve been coming to La manga for years and it was great to stay in the hotel for the first time since it was refurbished. The hotel is really beautiful with super comfortable rooms and incredible buffet breakfast, lovely pool area and incredibly helpful staff. The facilities at La Manga Club more broadly are superb, especially if you’re into sports. My whole family enrolled in Tennis Academy which was an amazing two hours every morning, additionally if you’re into padel, golf or football the facilities are all world class. Would highly recommend.

The rooms are lovely and all the public spaces in the hotel are well-appointed. The level of cleanliness is excellent. The gym is excellent. The food is excellent. The attitude of the staff is exceptionally courteous and helpful. This hotel has middle-east levels of guest experience- easily the best hotel I have stayed at in Europe.

My only (slight) criticism is that the hotel’s pools were open but the outside pool bar / terraces were not. The weather was warm and sunny and it would have been nice to have been able to have a coffee / drink outside in the afternoon sun. Aside from this, the whole experience was outstanding.

The hotel ticked all the boxes for a long weekend stay, staff could not do more for us, facilities were great and food and service was exceptional

The one thing that really spoiled a lovely weekend was that round the pool we had made ourselves comfortable on a double sunbed and we felt it very demeaning when a member of staff came over to say that we would have to pay for this bed. Bearing in mind that the pool area was less than a quarter full and when questioned the member of staff was actually embarrassed to actually have to ask us, we asked to speak with the manager but he failed to appear. Not really what you would expect from a 5star hotel.

A very good golf resort, which has clearly benefited from a refresh when taken over by Grand Hyatt. Hotel staff were very friendly and breakfast very good, if a little overpriced. The primary purpose of my visit was golf training and really benefited from training under the new Head Pro, Craig Donnelly.

Bathrooms still need refreshing, as do the hallways leading to the rooms and some general carpentry (doors, tiny PVC windows leading to the room balcony). Short game practice facilities could be expanded, but I understand a lot of this is already on Grand Hyatt’s radar for the coming years.

Clean, airy, attractive, grandiose and great atmosphere. Loved the very friendly staff and the complimentary use of the Club Lounge 😍 as well as the adult-only infinity pool 😍

Unable to work the TVs in our rooms and difficult to work out how to use the running machines and elliptic trainers in the gym. I also think the spa facilities should be included in the price.

This is a luxury five star hotel, beautifully and elegantly designed and decorated. The staff are wonderful - very attentive and friendly. Vanessa on reception was particularly welcoming and helpful, but every member of staff was excellent. The breakfast was amazing - the variety of foods in the buffet was incredible plus they had an egg chef for hot orders. The spa was beautiful with a hydrotherapy pool and sauna/steam room/hydrotherapy showers. We had three massages with Milla which were really first class.
