It's a very new hotel and every aspect was clean and well-styled. Lots of lush vegetation throughout the hotel made it feel tropical and luxurious. It's not in the super touristy area which we liked a lot; it was a simple walk across the road to get to the beach and very convenient having the 24 hour front desk given our flights got in very late at night/early in the morning.

The drinks in the hotel were excessively priced; we ordered 2 virgin pina coladas by the pool which were made with boxed pineapple juice (not fresh) and boxed coconut cream and it cost USD28. I might be fine paying that amount for the alcoholic version while on vacation, but that felt like too much for mixing 2 juices together.

The hotel is new, recently open and so it is beautiful, clean, the staff is wonderful in the main building as in the Kafe Kreol (on the beach). The Kafe Kreol is very nice, the Anse Royal beach is very beautiful so it’s a nice combination between a new beautiful hotel and a gorgeous beach. It’s very clean, comfortable and provides everything one need for a vacation.

The main issue for us was that the beach is across an intense circulated road, so the hotel is not on the beach. And another mention is that the price of the food (in the main restaurant and on the beach) is quite high comparing with other hotels & resorts in Seychelles. We’ve been 5 time on this destination, but never had such high prices for the same dish. And we’ve been in larger hotels & resorts around the islands (all the previous hotels were directly on the beach). So a sincerely advice for the Management is to review the food prices.

Lots of sockets next to mirrors in the room which is always a simple joy :) Room was really big, lovely high ceilings so felt super airy. Comfy beds and a lovely terrace (we had a ground floor pool view room). Complimentary large bottles of water daily. Love the plants and greenery all around the hotel. The sunbeds at the pool were very comfy. Breakfast was great. Lots of choice and lovely coffee. Lovely staff. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Good water sports equipment at the beach. The beach is really nice. The hotel has just opened so everything is very fresh and new.

Nothing major, but a few things that would have been helpful… No hanging rack on the balcony so no where to hang wet swimwear/clothes. Could do with a Luggage rack for 2nd case. we were only there 2 nights so living out our suitcases rather than completely unpacking so it meant we had to have them open on the floor. Few little things missing that could have made it nicer - there are slippers but no robes. There is shampoo and shower gel but no conditioner. The beach bar has lovely day beds but there is no cushion on the back rest so they weren’t very comfy unless you were lying flat. We didn’t eat in the main restaurant for dinner as it was too expensive for our budget. (approx £65 each for a set menu dinner). But the beach restaurant was lovely and a great cheaper alternative.

The stay in this hotel was great from the first moment to the end. We were greeted by perhaps the most professional receptionist we have ever experienced, Samira. (If I had a hotel, I would offer her a job immediately, we loved her). We got a better room than we had booked (partly sea view) and it was perfect! The staff are constantly making sure everything is ok (sometimes too many times haha) and are very nice. The hotel has great architecture, it doesn't scream and disturb the surroundings from the outside, but inside it's well thought out. The food is excellent, the breakfast is rich. We had dinner here several times and everything was very tasty, even the desserts. We also recommend the happy hour in the bar :). The hotel provides free kayaks and snorkeling gear for guests, that's what got me! The beach is not the most beautiful at Mahe, but we had a car and we went elsewhere. They also have a beach restaurant with sunbeds. We definitely want to come back!

The only thing I didn't like was that it was almost impossible to get on the comfy beach beds but we always found the usual sun loungers free.

Well, I will start that I’m a person that see the positive things first , so for me , my wife and the child this hotel is absolutely a bargain in terms of every thing and I mean , here you have a little and some staff a lot of every thing So much vegetation all over the hotel is absolutely 5* star decoration , literally you don’t have to go to the jungle, you feel like in mini jungle when you there, only with so much bonuses around, amazing pool for adults and children , kitchen with Italian chef, beach 60 seconds from the hotel with its own restaurant and all you need to have good swim on beautiful beach, sun beds, even double beds under the palms , so much attention to details is absolutely enjoyable to be there , all the hotel is new and my personal opinion is UNDERRATED , just bargain in Seychelles Thank you Laila hotel for just superb stay👍🏻

The only thing what I would improve there, is when a lot of guests come at the same time to breakfast, they don’t catch up so fast to refill all the good food and fruits there , food is amazing

Amazing and well decorated hotel. The facilities were also great, very comfortable bedrooms, happy hour with jazz and an incredible well trained staff. Restaurant’s menu is very tasty. Try chicken with curry and coconut. My special tks to Rusheen, Debbie, Themba, Erica, Alston my other from the breakfast staff. At Kreole Cafe, Shah.

I don’t know about the high season, bc I went there in May, but for a hotel like Laïla the breakfast needs to have fresh fruit juice, canned Greek yogurt, daily (daily cut) fresh fruits, homemade cake, keeping nuts fresh maybe inside a smaller container. It’s a good breakfast but can be better.

The property is conveniently located near public transportation, offering easy access to explore the area. The staff were attentive and genuinely engaged. Dinner options varied each night, including a buffet, a set menu, and à la carte choices with starter, main, and dessert. The 24-hour reception made our early morning check-out smooth and hassle-free.

The room had a musty smell upon arrival, but it improved after the first night. Unfortunately, some guests reserved pool loungers by leaving towels on them all morning, which was inconsiderate to others. Lack of basic bathroom amenities like a shower cap and vanity kit.

From the moment we arrived, our experience at Laila was nothing short of exceptional. The staff greeted us with genuine warmth and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Check-in was seamless, and we were offered a complimentary welcome drink while our luggage was brought to the room. Our room was immaculate, tastefully decorated, and offered stunning views of the city/mountains . The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the attention to detail—from plush towels to high-end toiletries—made it feel truly luxurious. The amenities were top-notch. We especially loved the pool, which was clean, well-maintained, and never too crowded. Dining at the hotel’s restaurant was another highlight—delicious cuisine, attentive service, and an ambiance perfect for a relaxed evening. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the service. Every team member we encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to help. Whether it was assisting with local recommendations, arranging transportation, or simply checking in to see if we needed anything, the service was flawless. We’ve stayed in many hotels, but Laila stands out as one of the best. We can’t wait to return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and luxurious stay.
