We chose the accommodation mainly with regard to the price (Seychelles is generally not a cheap destination and our holiday budget was quite limited). Despite the low price compared to other options, the accommodation "La Residence" exceeded our expectations in every way! We chose the apartment on the ground floor because it is a little bigger than the studio upstairs, so we gave up the perfect view of the bay directly from the balcony - but that didn't matter, the scenery and the surrounding garden (perfectly kept) were still beautiful. Directly in front of our terrace on a big mango tree, I observed a lot of fruit bats every day, geckos running on the walls, sunsets over the sea - simply fascinating nature! The apartment is furnished quite simply, but that's okay - the photos correspond to the reality, we didn't miss anything essential for the stay. Large functional fridge, gas stove (we had self-catering), plenty of electrical sockets (don't forget the adapter - they are UK type, like everywhere in the Seychelles - but the 2-pin EU plug can be used without the adapter), large and clean bathroom, comfortable beds, mosquito net (it wasn't even needed, there aren't too many insects here), air conditioning and fan also available. Of course TV and functional WiFi. Basic maps and information available in the room. The accommodation is located a little away from other buildings, in a quiet place, in nature. The staff is very nice, friendly and helpful. Cleaning takes place daily (thanks to the lovely cleaning ladies), a responsible security guard guards the area at night (thanks, Mr. Michel :-) and Mrs. Mayna at the reception is happy to answer any question, print out boarding passes, etc., etc. (thank you very much, too). Overall, me and my family are ABSOLUTELY satisfied with this choice of accommodation - the stay was very pleasant and excellent value for money. We would come again without hesitation.

We found no reason to criticize this accommodation. The only minus is perhaps the fact that the stay lasted only two weeks - if time and finances allowed, we would have liked to stay longer :-)

It's a decent, clean, airy space from which to strike out and explore the Seychelles. However you need to hire a car - otherwise you are dependent on incredibly expensive taxis or buses - which are fun, but irregular, and you do take your life into your hands a bit.

Our plane landed at 7am, we got to La Residence by 8am and the apartment was not ready, Of course we'd read the fine print, informed La Residence and knew that in a worse case scenario we might have to wait. In the end we waited till 1pm. When you're jet lagged and travelled a long way, there's no real place on the premises or in the vicinity where you can 'wait' in comfort till your apartment is ready. The other issue is that you are of a slightly advanced age, walking up to La Residence from the main road is challenging! But these are small gripes. I would stay here again.

The room was fine, even though it had huge cockroaches on first floor

On arrival reception was already closed, I didn't receive any message on how to get to the room or any other details. On my message on Booking I also didn't receive any answers. After some time walking around, luckily we found a security guard who was doing a check of the area, so he helped us to find a room. On the first evening we lost the electricity (only in our room), we spent more than an hour trying to fix It or find a security guard again.

Everything perfect, friendly staff, spacious rooms, great view to the see from the rooms and the terrace. Bus stop quite near for public transport

Walking to the surrounding beaches is quite hard as cars drive fast and there is no space for walking on the side.

We loved the area . Large room with everything you need to live in.. nice balcony with ocean view. We were on 2 nd floor. Wi-Fi worked perfectly. Cleaning the room every day. We felt very safe. No mosquitos. So we could sleep with open balcony. You also can use the air conditioner. We just loved the place and would realy recommend it. The receptionist lady is very friendly and kind.

We asked to rent a car if they can help. Michael met us at the airport. LA RESIDENCE CARS is the name on the paper I signed. He said that the car is insured. So if the damage is less than 1500 euros, the insurance covers.. If more than this amount I ll need to pay. The car was old and not so clean (the seats) Unfortunately, I ve broked the left back light. My mistake I didn't inform Michael about it.. I thought I ll show him next day when I will leave the car. Dominic was the owner at the car and he met us ar the Ferry. HE SAID THAT THE INSURANCE DOESN'T COVER THE DAMAGE. We paid 3600 Sr .WHY WE PAID THE INSURANCE THEN? Everyday 10 euros was added for the insurance that is not working. WON'T RECOMMEND to rent a car from LA RESIDENCE CARS.

During our stay we lived on the second and on the first floor. Emotions were different depending on the comparison with manifestations. I highly recommend upper floor due to excellent view and space room. Room on the 1st floor doesn't have such a nice style. Otherwise - quiet and comfortable accomodation with nice staff and beautiful views from the balcony. We traveled by car, so it was a pleasure to stay there.

One moment to improve - the absence of staff. Almost all the days of our trip there was no staff available in La Residence. On weekdays they are in place till 4 p.m, on weelends they do not work. Also they do not offer you their mobile number to keep in touch, so if you need some help immediately or any questions about your stay/room/equipment, obviously you won't get it.

Very nice apartment, clean and spacious. Stunning view, close to beach and bus station. We had our own kitchen and balcony. The village itself isn't really crowded, so there is not much to do, the sea is very shallow, only two tiny shops, two restaurants and one local food truck. But it's great location if you want to travel around. We went to local beach, then anse royale and baie lazare, which was the most beautiful place. Buses go quiet often. The staff was very kind and helpful, room cleaned every day. Really very kind people 😊

The only things i can mention are, that the fridge was very loud time to time, as well as the fan on high speed. (Not a big deal) The water pressure was quiet low, so washing the sand off took a bit of time. I'd recommend to carry a flashlight or phone light if you walk at night, because you walk about 100m on the road to get on the sidewalk. Non of these had a negative impact on our stay.

There are different kind of bungalows, we had a really nice one with a beautifull view and a terrace. The Bungalow was big with a kitchen, a big living room an two sleeping rooms with an own bathroom. The beds (two double for 4 person) are good and with a mosquito-net. It was very clean and you can cook your own meal in the kitchen if you like. If you are in the bungalow you dont hear the street, only if you sit outside on the terrace. This is pity, because its a really nice place, but not to bad. It´s close to some nice beaches and you can rent a car by the accommodation. If you need help, you will find it there. The property is beautiful. The villas overlook the beach and the view from the patio is breathtaking. You will enjoy having breakfast outside the villa with the beach view. It is quiet, serene and mesmerizing. The lady at the reception was also very warm. There is a watchman so it is good from a safety perspective as well.
