The breakfast buffet was fabulous. Hotel Location was ideal. As it was a Sunday, parking was free and the parking meters can be topped up to include Monday morning's fee, in advance. The auto entry and key collection worked fine, but there was also a receptionist present in afternoons and evening and again at breakfast There's a hidden garden space to the rear, which might be nice in the summer months. It was convenient that we could bring our little dog to stay for a reasonable €5 charge

No actual hotel carpark or obvious parking agreement . Breakfast was either included or supplementary (@€11pp) but it was not made obvious on our booking.

Modern, well designed and furnished room (ground floor, room name Madeleine) and reception/ breakfast area. Comfortable big bed, spacious bathroom. Friendly and helpful receptionist ( thank you Eve) and good breakfast, including eggs etc. Drop off outside and street parking. Nice area with cafés and restaurants, but a bit of a walk to centre and river. We drove down next morning and enjoyed old town, shops and river - Laval is a lovely stop-over. Highly recommended.

The apartment was really good and well equipped. It was also in a great location and good value for money.

It was all very hi tech, but from our perspective the explanations could have been a bit clearer about how best to use everything, or it would have been great if a member of staff had shown us round the facilities.

Pleasant hotel very near the station and a short walk to the town. Rooms are basic, but adequate and are decorated in an attractive quirky style.  Staff are welcoming and pleasant.  Out of hours check-in is well thought through and easy.  Buffet breakfast is plentiful and varied. Car parking is available at the station's underground car park close by.  Reasonably priced and felt secure.

Tiny washbasin that was impossible to use without splashing the floor or banging your head on the shelf!! Misleading information about using underground car park opposite hotel and ended up paying full rate instead of concessional offered rate.

I thought the breakfast adequate, although, as an American, not as robust as we are use to. I loved the coffee machine, the assortment of pastries, cereals, etc. I wasn't sure how to make the eggs and would have liked a hot meat, but that is being picky. Over all it was a great stay.

For Americans, we are use to having someone at the front desk 24/7 to help us. I did find it confusing that there was no directions written in English on the door, that would help with how to access then entry. Once I figured it out (which took some time), I found it a cool process to be able to enter a code to get into the first entry, then put a code in the box to retrieve my room key. I did have to remember that one of the numbers on the key was the code to use to regain access to the entry door once I left the hotel. Aside from these small frustrations, I loved my stay at Hotel Marin and I will stay here anytime I come to Laval. The location is great, the hotel is clean and the staff beyond helpful.

The whole hotel had a relaxed modern feel to it, exceptionally clean and fresh room. Well located next to the train station and an easy walk to local shops, restaurants and transport. The breakfast was plentiful and had many choices as well as fresh fruit. There is a lovely enclosed garden seating area which is very private and inviting to spend some down time in the sunshine.

At first I had a difficult time figuring out how to enter the hotel as there was no sign & the front door was locked. After a few minutes the front desk clerk arrived to let me in. I didn't realize that the door is locked if the front desk person has to step away. Maybe a sign that indicates this would make it less stressful for guests. Once I got my key, I was totally satisfied with my stay. The front desk staff is so nice & very helpful. I loved my room. The bed was super comfortable, the room was clean & the bathroom facilities were perfect. For me, this was a great place. I felt very safe (as a single female traveler) and will stay again next time I am in Laval.

Other than getting inside prior to getting my key, everything was superb! And, maybe a little clearer instructions on how to park & the cost would be nice. It can be confusing for someone that doesn't speak French.

Good location. Very clean and modern. Very good breakfast - plenty of choice. Somewhere secure to store my bicycle overnight. Very helpful receptionist. Comfortable room. Good communication before arrival notifying me of the means of entry.
