What a fascinating place and person. Khurshed has curated a design and pop culture museum experience for the guests at The Abies. Every single corner of the hotel is thoughtfully designed, carefully curated, and with personal touches that are surprising and engaging. The facilities in the room are excellent. Everything is monogrammed, down to the glass water bottles! and I really appreciate the free water. There are groceries and bakery stores nearby as well as a paid parking opposite that is very safe. The neighborhood is sweet and welcoming. We made friends with everyone even though we are quite reserved because the people were so warm and friendly and the lane was lively with young kids and old grandmas. Very fun experience.

THE HOTEL IS IDEAL FOR A FEW DAYS' HOLIDAY. THE OWNER IS HELPFUL AND VERY KIND. BREAKFAST IS OFFERED IN THE RECEPTION AREA BY APPOINTMENT AS THE AREA IS RELATIVELY SMALL BUT THIS DOESN'T CAUSE A PROBLEM. THE BREAKFAST IS VERY GOOD WITH FLAVORS FROM TURKEY. THE ROOMS, LIKE THE WHOLE HOTEL, ARE VERY WELL MAINTAINED AND HAVE A SPECIAL VINTAGE STYLE.

THE AREA IS VERY CLOSE TO THE CENTER BUT IN CONTRAST TO THE HOTEL IT IS A LITTLE DIRTY. GENERALLY IT IS A SAFE AREA WE DID NOT FEEL ANY DANGER.

We loved our stay here. Every experience was just spot on. The hotel used excellent quality material, the design is well thought through, and lots of attention to details. The staff is very hospitable and nice. The breakfast was simple and healthy with great coffee. At first, the location seemed being off main path, in a poor neighbourhood, however the city centre and harbour is just 10 minutes lazy walk away. We would go back anytime without thinking and recommend it to anyone who is looking for great value for money accommodation in this lovely city.

The breakfast place combines reception in a small room, with very limited space to sit. Breakfast therefore may take longer. During breakfast time, the space could be used in a better way to accommodate more guests at the same time. The second room, our kids used was quite small, no place to open even a small suitcase.

The owner his mother and the rest of the staff made us feel very welcome, what a nice people. The decoration of the Abies is wonderful, the breakfast simple but good. There are 3 different rooms, but all have vry good wifi, a watercoocker a fridge, TV and airco. The smallest room is perfect for one night, if you plann or staying longer (and do so!) then choose one of the larger rooms. It is a place I hope to visit again in the future. It is located perfectly close to the center and close to the beach.

Outside is not very clean, but is that important? the location is perfect.

The owner really created a little world here to enjoy your stay. Every detail is designed with exceptional thought, like placing a strong hairdryer for a blow dry instead of using a hotel style simple ones. A canvas bag to use during our stay, beautiful smells, bikes to have a tour.. The decors are stunning. The owner is also very friendly and a kind soul. We are happy to add this stop to our memories in Turkey. It warmed our hearts.

The only down side was the surroundings. It felt a bit unsafe but it was ok at the end.

I often travel for business and stay in hotels but "The Abies" is an exception and a fantastic place to stay. Everything has been taken care of and implemented down to the smallest detail. The hotel owner is a very open and service-oriented person and the well-being of his guests is at the top of his agenda, which makes this hotel even more special. The staff are equally and very friendly and professional. The time here was an extraordinary experience and I can only recommend everyone to visit “THE ABIES”.

The staff were very friendly and helpful to us. Even though we booked a small room, it was comfortable enough with air con, good showering facilities, bed and pillows were comfortable. It was a very cool hotel. It wasn't far to get to the main harbour area, dolmus station, or restaurants.

Our own fault, we booked a tiny room so it was hard to move with 2 of us in there and our luggage. The area of the hotel itself is a little 'rough looking'.

We loved our stay in hotel The Abies The rooms look just like in the photos. They might be on the smaller side, but are very cleverly designed and have everything you possibly need. The decorations are so original, everything is very well thought through and very clean. The reception works 24 hours and the host welcomed us even though we arrived late in the evening. The hotel doesn’t have its own parking, however there is a paid parking right in front of the hotel (for us it cost 40TL per night and 50TL per day). That’s a convenient feature that most of the other hotels in the area don’t have. The location of the hotel is also very good- the historical center and the promenade are just a few minutes away on foot. The hosts are extremely warm, kind and welcoming. From what I understand, the hotel was designed by them and their attention to detail really shows.

Everything was great

I traveled in Turkey in different cities, but in Canakkale I found the most welcoming host and a wonderful place to stay at The Abies. From the interior of the room and the location to the extraordinary host. The gentleman who owns the location is an extraordinary man and the lady at the reception an angel. I wholeheartedly recommend the location for everything it can offer to the tourists staying. The host gave us great details about the locations to visit, coffee and a small lunch upon departure. The small room, but we knew this aspect, we chose it, it has a special interior, totally different from what we have seen in Turkey. You must stay at The Abies!

It was clean, the breakfast is delicious, however there was no meat included. The facilities in the room (water, soda and biscuits) were refilled daily. The staff is nice and polite.

No elevator, the location is near a little bit dirty neighbourhood, however in front of the hotel is a 24/7 security guarded parking area and in front of the entrance of the hotel is very clean also.
