Store was well stocked; service from Brian and Lisa (owner) was top-shelf; history and historical presentations of this 1976 vintage looking vegas strip 'Motel' helped me feel like I would see coming around the corner at any time, Frankie or Elvis or maybe a couple of mobster ghouls. And, well that never happened but it is a great central location for walks to the downtown or bicycle rides out to the College M on safe and friendly roads. Also, across the street was a shopping store--Co-op Community Store which had many services, items simple and clean. Bangtail Bikes was spot on with their rental options so that was a good gig. Didn't use the downstairs pool, spa setting but it was excellent.
Me, I guess. Yeah, I would like to be healthier and in better shape. Thanks for asking. The people and faciltiy and the L&C Motel were excellent and patient with me. That was appreciated.

Everything about our stay was amazing. As a family of five, we usually choose vacation rentals for the extra space, but Lusis and Clark far exceeded our expectations. This place is truly special for so many reasons!! Luais and Clark's vibe, the food, the cleanliness, and the staff were all outstanding. I travel for a living, Monday through Friday, and have stayed in countless hotels, motels, and vacation homes. Without question, this stands out as one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. When we visit our daughter at MSU, this will always be where we stay!
Not one thing!

Our family recently stayed in Bozeman for one night while traveling on to Big Sky. As soon as we pulled in, we could tell that our stay would be memorable. The rooms were updated while still keeping the some of the original elements. We were able to get two rooms next to each other and had 4-beds to accommodate our family of 5. Before booking, I was concerned about the safety and road noise with the glass sliding room doors, but we felt perfectly safe, and we could not hear anything once the doors were closed. The shower water pressure is worth mentioning--it was incredible. The hidden showstopper of this motel are the staff, location and amenities. The lobby area is so warm and inviting and you can tell that the owner, Lisa, has put her personal touch on every corner of it down to the real flowers hanging in baskets off of each floor. Stunning! We were offered homemade cookies and infused water when we arrived and a large, free, over the top, grab and go breakfast when we checked out. They even had options for our daughter who is vegan. Downstairs, there are dry saunas, a eucalyptus steam room, hot tub and gorgeous spa pool with fountains. We spent a few hours enjoying these after dinner the night we stayed. The historic downtown is a short walk down the road and you have endless options for restaurants, ice cream and shopping. Also, the University of Montana campus is also within walking distance which made for a beautiful early morning walk. We all fell in love with the Lewis and Clark motel, and it was refreshing to visit a place that still values customer service and takes pride in what they do.
Nothing. Truly. We Loved it!

The property is very well cared for, the staff is so friendly and helpful and you can tell they take care of the property well as it is very personal to them. Don’t be afraid to stay here- it’s a little risky choosing a “motel” but this was as comfortable a stay as we have had in other more upscale locations. The location is wonderful- right across the street from the co-op so food is available easily but also walking distance to downtown Bozeman. They also have a wonderful continental breakfast that is very generous. Also- but most importantly, it was very clean.
Such a minor detail from my perspective but the indoor pool area is very stuffy- but most indoor pools are!

Great bed. Hot shower with pressure. Very good A/C and fan. Good bathroom exhaust fan (very important!). No issues with anything and the staff was very helpful. Booking.com is not my favorite and I did not know I was using them to make my reservation and will avoid using them in the future by paying closer attention to the website I log into.
I thought I was making a reservation directly with the Lewis and Clark Motel, but was not. I ordered a King bed and the reservation came back as two queens, a Booking.com screw up that almost cost me money, but after explaining I thought I was doing business directly with the L&C Motel, the additional fee was waived.

We love the cleanliness, the friendliness and the delightful overall atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you’re sitting at breakfast taking a selfie, a staff member will come over and offer to take a picture, and then do so with great care so that the quality is good. The swimming pool has a spa atmosphere about it and is immaculate. Very relaxing after a day of touring. My husband and I began our trip out west and ended it here by Choice.. indeed, today when we thought our flight would be canceled for several days, the one bright spot is that we knew we could go back and stay at the Lewis and Clark for a few more days! If we had to… it turned out we didn’t Lisa is doing a stellar job carrying on her father‘s tradition and we wish her much success in the years ahead !

Loved the friendly reception. We also loved that it is a second generation, family owned/ inherited business. Lisa, the daughter of the founder of the Motel, is knowledgeable and proud of her work. Unlike the large hotel chains, the Lewis and Clark is unique. A fabulous downstairs pool that is in a soothing setting, a hot tub, steam room and fitness room, too. They have thought of so many details. Cookies and refreshments at all times in the lobby. A local wares gift shop, a quaint sitting area for breakfast that may get crowded if the motel is full, but was fine when we visited in July. We liked the personal attention. The property feeling is more of an Inn although it is a drive up and park, go to a a well appointed, immaculate room, motel. Not a mega establishment. Quite special in our opinion, if you like stepping away from Mariotts, and Hiltons and Holiday Inns… this is a stay we shall remember. We also loved the large, lighted, almost Las Vegas like Motel sign that makes it impossible to drive by or miss the turn. It is quite a landmark! We highly recommend this Bozeman gem.

Lewis and Clark has it all. The bedroom was perfect, clean, the beds were very comfortable. The spa was excellent, including steam room with infused eucalyptus, sauna, hot tub, swimming pool and gym. Breakfast was very healthy and balanced. The reception was full with antiques, including a doll collection. Lisa, the owner, was very kind and thoughtful. All the staff was helpful. A wonderful place to relax.
Everything was perfect.

EVERYTHING! What a experience. Family owned for 30 plus years, makes this place a true gem. You w there and you truly feel like you’re in an oasis of peace! The indoor pool and eucalyptus steam room was such an added bonus! Sitting in the lobby looking at the history of this motel and all the treasures she had displayed made my trip. Rooms were great and super clean! This motel made our trip out west even more special and memorable. Will never stay anywhere else in Bozeman!

Loved being close to Main Street, Sweet Peaks, and the Co-op. Appreciated the spa ( although I wished the hot tub was warmer and the steam room was quiet). Loved the nice tea in the morning. The beds were comfy and I liked the blackout curtains. We travel to Bozeman 1-2 per year. Previously we have stayed at the Marriot on Main Street but will most likely stay here from now on.
I don’t like having music in the steam room. I would like the hot tub warmer.
