Our room was on the ground floor and very spacious and clean. Very quiet too. We really liked our dinner at the gastro restaurant Overall we would recommend the hotel and the gastro restaurant

Our only disappointment was with our dinner at the bistro. It started on a good note and then as more people came in, service became inexistent. The food quality was not the best either.

The best and freshest breakfast selection we have had travelling France in the last 3 weeks The Bistro in the evening offered an excellent selection of dishes cooked exceptionally well and great value The dish of the day was also always very good Awielie’s attention to detail with regards to all aspects of the running of her hotel was spot on and she provided us with excellent information to re visiting the local attractions the perfect host If you want to explore this part of the Loire this is definitely the hotel to stay in

A perfect stay

This property is a little out of the way, but it's a worthwhile stop for anyone who is driving from the channel ports to the south of France or who wants a base to tour the chateaux of the Loire. The auberge is recently renovated and is decprated in a minimalist style that's very attractive. The rooms are comfortable with good beds and showers. The restaurant is excellent for dinner and fine for breakfast (normal standard hotel food). The staff are friendly and welcoming. Good wine too!

Only the distance to get to the auberge. If you stay for more than a day, you might want to eat in other restauarants. There are a few (like the Lion d'Or), but you need to book in advance.

I would say that the very high rating at Booking is justified. It is a really nice hotel and when the weather is good, it is great to have dinner on the terras outside ! Enough parking space directly behind the hotel, possibility to hire bicycles. Very friendly reception. Soft carpet in the staircases !

It's not cheap. On the pictures, the beds looked large but shortly before our stay we got a e-mail that the beds are only 1,60 m but that there is an option to have two single beds, but that costs 20 € extra (which we booked). Also there were an excessive amounts of E-mails for this booking in order to confirm this or that (I think more than 10). Fortunately not all hotels sent that many messages.

The staff were incredibly hospitable, spoke very good English and made our stay as seamless and easy as possible. The Bistro was lovely, great food and great service too. The room was very clean and had a modern Scandi feel in the way it was decorated and laid out, which i loved. Big screen in the room was perfect for watching the football too! It couldn't have been better!

almost nothing. I'm sure they had there reasons but there was no mini fridge or milk in the room. This could be a sustainability thing as the whole place definitely had an eco-friendly focus, and having a fridge plugged in to keep milk cold 24/7 probably doesn't fit their ethos, which I respect.

It had been a lovely experience staying at this charming hotel for the New Year's Eve weekend. The rooms are really cozy, well-equipped, clean and tastefully decorated. The location was also great as there several castles around you can visit within 30 minutes drive. The breakfast buffet was complete and delicious. The 2 restaurants inside offered very good food. The gastronomic menu we had for the NYE dinner was such a great experience! Everything on the menu was delectable! The staff are really helpful, thoughtful, nice and friendly. Highly recommended indeed!

The room was large, clean and had all the amenities we need. We really enjoy the meals we had in the restaurant which was high quality with reasonable price

I didnt like the fact that it was raining alot during our stay. Of course it has nothing to do with the hotel , we thought it was a shame as we couldn't enjoy the hotel garden.

Great location, beautiful room

We had a poor experience dining in the restaurant waiting an hour and a half for starters which, given how much we spent to stay as a treat, put a dampener on the stay. Otherwise the hotel was lovely

Really nicely located away from the business of the cities but very close drive to Blois and Chambord. The staff was very friendly. The baby cot was installed upon our request.

I selected the property because of the statement “soundproof” in the descriptions as we were travelling with an infant and you didn’t want the crying to disturb anyone. However our room was in the “old part” of the hotel, which didn’t have soundproofing and we could see light coming from under the entry door. Although the room was cute.

Overpriced wine. It was good but we have stayed in better and slightly cheaper.
