Amazing view crom breakfast hall (restaurant) and also from my superior room. Room is spacious, but otherwise just a classic hotel room. Heating system in place, also good for drying clothes after snowy hikes. Dinner good, included in price, coffee always available at the reception. Staff friendly and responsive. I stayed here twice in autumn 2024, and would take another group if needed!

Parking is little challenging because they don't have own parking space. Street parking few minutes away is usually available, but not guaranteed. Location of the hotel is a bit off the very center, but view of Ganstastoppen compensates it!

Rooms a good size for 2 singles, beds comfortable, location very convenient and central, breakfast was plentiful with lots of options to choose from. Parking was fine in the street as we arrived after 5:00pm and easy to put an hour in the meter in the morning using credit card. There was also 10mins free parking outside the hotel so that we could park there to load and unload the car.

Dinner was included - we weren't expecting tacos (it was Taco Night) as we were hoping for Norwegian food on our last night in Norway - however there was plenty of food and it tasty.

Hotel is in great location close to the boat terminal. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. All food really tasty. Afternoon snack was a nice detail and great way to begin the stay. Dinner consisted of a buffet with soup, main course and salad bar. Breakfast buffet had plenty of options to choose from. Gym and sauna were for free, both quite small but it was never too many people there. The sauna had amazing view of the mountains, sea and the town. I had a really nice stay even though it was only for one night. Overall price/quality ratio absolutely worth it. If I was ever coming back to Harstad, I would be happy to stay there again.

The temperature in the sauna could be higher.

I stayed at the Arcticus in Harstad in order to meet the Havila cruise ship on the morning following my stay. From the hotel (although not my room) I could see the arrival of the ship. The breakfast was excellent. The Arcticus has a novel feature in that they provide a free buffet dinner in the early evening. The food was simple but satisfying. It really made you feel liek you were at home. This was a great way to start my visit to the Lofoten Archipelago.

The main attraction for me for this hotel was that it had dinner and fika included in the price, which is pretty rare, and it saved me a lot of money eating out. The hotel is in a nice Harbourside location but oddly 'inside' the city concert hall. Evening dinner buffet was good, if slightly cold by the time I got to it. Helpful and friendly, approachable, English-speaking staff. Lovely heated floor in the room's bathroom and comfortable bed with a spacious room. Excellent value when you look at the overall package.

I'm not one to say you should refit a hotel with new furniture, fittings and decoration if it the stuff isn't actually falling apart or shabby - it's not, in this case. However, it's definitely still in a pretty old-fashioned style! The photographs on this page are very selective and don't show the rather dated, more-than-retro nature of the place. It might explain why it was so cheap compared to its much more modern sister hotel from the same chain elsewhere along the waterfront. The shower screen in the bathroom was curved but didn't need to be, for example; all a bit quirky and odd. The lights in the room weren't all connected to the central switch so it was a chore to go around switching them off individually at night and on again in the morning, as one or two weren't enough.

Great location and perfect view over the harbour. Breakfast was excellent with a huge choice of cooked, local, fruit and cereals. Supper had some excellent salads and good soup. Parking was very close and extremely cheap.

Lift was a little slow was the only tiny niggle.

Location of the hotel was really nice - close to a parking hall (not that expensive) and great views to the sea and walking at the dock. Room was big and perfect for 3 adults for a short visit. Hotel had a sauna in the 4th floor with amazing views. Breakfast was normal hotel breakfast and the dinner was fine.

Room for the breakfast and dinner was way too small for such a big hotel and for so many people. Even if there were another room available further away (which is not convenient). Breakfast felt like being in the zoom... The hotel should also really consider how many emails they send for one visit - we got more than ten emails! Who wants to read emails on a holiday even if there is a possibility for electronic check-in and out...?

The dinner was poor, it was included in the room stay. We are not picky at all but the food was strange and we didn’t eat much. Just some bread and water. No juice available, fixed menu. Main course was some strange meatballs, not sure if they were vegan (no description), and the soup was so thick that made it hard to eat. The breakfast fãs was good.

The room was very clean and cozy, excellent beds for sleeping. The dinner buffet was good, the breakfast buffet even better and more varied! The hotel is located in a quiet area by the water, with nice views of the port from the hotel restaurant (and likely also from some rooms, not applicable to us). Highly recommended if you're in the area, very good value for money considering the dinner and breakfast buffets!

The city and the area felt pretty... dead -- but that is by no means the hotel's fault! Can't think of anything that was wrong with the hotel.

The meals are good, the choice is limited but nice and fresh food, the location is superb overlooking the harbour. The staff is super nice

The rooms are very dark, there is a lack of lights in the rooms and the windows overlooking the corridors are a bit strange.
