The restaurant was superb decor and ambience very good, food of very high standard and exceptional presentation. Secure parking The staff were all helpful and friendly. The bed was very comfortable

Our rooms looked tired but the whole area en-suite, bedroom and funny little entrance room was clean. Tea coffee kettle and hairdryer supplied but no milk.

Very comfortable. Ideal location for the route south from Caen Port. Evening meal was excellent and good value. Secure parking in a hanger to the rear of the hotel. The owner had a great sense of humour. Lovely and varied breakfast.

We were badly held up by a cancelled Ferry crossing and didn't,t arrive until 22.45 to find the hotel locked. In fairness it only took a phone call for them to open up although we suspect they were in bed We appreciated the fact that they took the trouble to let us in

Well located for our cycling trip (on the Vélobuissonnière), very good dinner, very clean with good facilities, somewhere safe for our bikes (although we did have to pay €5) and excellent breakfast

Being on the main cross roads it was a bit noisy (we knew it would be) so we had to have the windows closed and the Patron was a bit gruff (initially) but he warmed to us and all the other staff were friendly and helpful

Superb choice at breakfast buffet. Really good quality restaurant at reasonable price. Location easy to find right at centre of town. Short walk to charming old part of town by the river. Handy location for travelling down central France.

Difficulty in finding the hotel and more importantly finding a parking spot. The manager was uncommunicative but the rest of the staff were very helpful.

We have used La Barque several times and always enjoyed our stay. M Vincent has always welcomed us and was extremely helpful when we had a problem at the Supermarket with a payment at the petrol pump.

This is a stunning overnight stop. Great location on and off the motorway. Great value for money with secure parking. We booked for dinner and this was fantastic should have a couple of Michelin stars.

Not the fault of the hotel but it is on a very busy trucking route and quite noisy. Take some ear plugs because the food is worth the stop.

The staff were welcoming, the room clean and comfortable and the breakfast very good. We had dinner in the restaurant, and it was excellent. The hotel is very well placed near the motorway, and makes a very convenient overnight stop. We have used it many times and will continue to return.
