Firstly, the place was a m a z i n g!!! we got a great hospitality from Denisa and Victoria- they both helped us through all the time we've spent there! from the very beggining until the very last day of our trip, both of them talked to us with full patiance and with great advices for places to travel or eat. Additionaly, every problem we had they did not hesitate and came strightly to check if anything was ok. Denisa was such a lovely women to talk to- not only she helped us but you could feel her wormth and love as if you know her for years. Victoria was also such a kind hearted women that has always been there for us no matter what! the hotel itself was very big and convinient we had a large room with plesent view and a very nice pool to swim in. All in all, it was a great expirience and we hope we could visit there again.

Onyx is as close to flawless as I have experienced! The rooms are beautiful - we stayed in a junior suite with plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 teenagers for 2 days. The decor is beautiful and the place is spotlessly clean. The staff are AMAZING. So helpful and so friendly. Thanks to Konstantina and Tamta for being so helpful. Poolside bar is lovely and breakfast there is lovely - there’s plenty to choose from. Perhaps in time they might be able to offer a sandwich or salad at lunchtime - in the absence of that, we got gorgeous toasted sandwiches in a new cafe around the corner and ate them on our terrace. Location is lovely - It’s about a 20 minute walk to Fira town centre or €25 in a taxi. You could taxi in and walk home as it’s downhill! I would go back in a heartbeat.

This place and service of the staff is awesome. From the first experience at the reception till you leave.. Hotel is very modern and stylish. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and overall beautifully designed! Super clean and they do cleaning service daily! Pool area is perfect! You can fully enjoy the day by the pool on comfortable sunbeds. Also pool bar is open daily with all the drinks you may need. But what we really liked the most was the professional approach of the statf. They were just great, very friendly and always ready to help if you need anything! We received pretty good recommendations what to visit, where to eat from the girls at the reception - tried all of them😁 and we had the best experiences! Breakfast was fantastic - everyday you can choose different varieties and you eat in the very nice area near the pool with nice views! Overall the best stay! Perfect location - close to everything we wanted to see - we used car, but i believe you can even walk to Fira and it’s not that far.. By the car everything is like 15-20 minutes drive. Parking place at the hotel! Thank you for your great job! Would love to come here again!

This hotel was absolutely amazing! The reception staff were incredibly helpful and couldn’t do enough for you. The hotel was clean and so comfortable! The breakfast was superb and the lady behind the bar was absolutely brilliant - her frozen strawberry mocktails went down a treat with our kids! Location was perfect for us, very short bus ride away from centre of Fira and bus service was very regular and easy (again thanks to the help from the reception staff). Thank you so much for such a lovely stay! We wish we stayed longer!

We wished we had organised a late checkout as there was no shower around the pool for when we got dressed to travel home! We will remember for next time :-)

The hotel was gorgeous and finished to such a high spec I was amazed we got it for the price we did. The staff are what really made the stay a 10/10 both Denisa and Victoria went above and beyond to make our stay the best. I wished we had stayed longer! We told them our time limit and budget and they recommend several things we could do in that time, we managed to do them all and under budget. I even had a query about stamps and postcards which they not only answered, but solved by obtaining the stamps and posting them for me. Honestly, greek hospitality is something else. This will be a repeat booking for me for years to come, I can't recommend it enough.

The staff were amazing! Especially Denisa and Maria, our receptionists. They were smiling, welcoming and considerate. (Our experience in Athens was not like this) We arrived knowing not much about Santorini and they gave us a pro recommendation for all the things we can do here. They can also rent cars(at a cheaper price than airport) and book cruise for you. They prepared a surprise honeymoon cake I asked for which was absolutely delicious and pretty. They even gifted us a bottle of Greek white wine and upgraded our room. Thanks! You can feel they had a good training and their goal is to make you feel at home and enjoy your holiday with no worries. A good service is why onyx have a good review and stand out from surrounding fierce competition. As for the hotel itself. It is in the middle of the island, close to Fira and 20 mins drive to Oia. The room was cleaned everyday, bed was comfortable. Many choices for breakfast. Pool was pretty with progressing depth.

The breakfast coffee choice is limited, I guess it’s made from powder with water. We had to pay extra to have a cappuccino which is more expensive than a bar within walking distance. Would be nice if they provide a coffee machine or make coffee for guests. After all we paid for our breakfast.

The hotel staff and amenities were amazing. The hotel staff was very friendly and always tried to ensure we had everything we needed. The breakfast service was absolutely amazing, the gentleman always gave us ideas where to go and was pleasure to chat with. The bar service was great, we had some amazing cocktails while laying at the comfortable beach chairs enjoying the sun. Cleaners ensure we always had clean towels and our room looked spotless.

The hotel is located in the quiet area of ​​Karterados, 5 minutes by car from Fira. Maria at the reception, welcomed us with a smile and gave us information about restaurants and activities. She also made us a reservation at a great restaurant in Pyrgos and arranged for us to have perhaps the best table to watch the sunset. Denisa, the other girl at the reception, also very, very helpful ❤️ The room was spacious enough for 4 people and spotlessly clean. The pool area was clean and quiet, ideal for relaxing. The pool is open until eight so you can see the sunset as you swim. Litsa at the bar is a bonus for the hotel. Always cheerful and willing to help. Litsa, we missed the margaritas :) If you rent a car, there is a comfortable parking space right outside the hotel. You made our stay in santorini even more magical and wonderful ❤️

Very nice hotel! We were met by Maria at the reception desk who went over and above to explain about the hotel, amenities, and things to see and do on Santorini. She even helped us book an afternoon catamaran cruise for the next day :) Our room was very spacious, with a large separate sitting area - way bigger than expected! Great pool area with lounge chairs, and bar with both drinks and light snack food options. Excellent breakfast! Very good location - only a couple of minutes from Fira.

Only minor negative point was the rain shower head in our room was clogged quite badly - it likely needed a good decalcification. Other than that, we hated that we'd only booked for 3 nights ;)

We have just returned from Santorini and stayed at Onyx during our stay on the island. The location is perfect if you want some some tranquility away from the crowds in Thira, but equally a close distance when you do want to dip in. As its central on the island, the north and south of the island are in easy reach, especially if hiring a car or quad. Katia, Denisa, Litsa and all of the other staff gave us a typically Greek welcome with their friendliness, and they went above and beyond to make our stay special, from arranging airport transfers, restaurant recommendations and reservations to car hire. We couldn’t have asked any more of them and they were all fabulous! The rooms are very clean, and high standard with a greek contemporary vibe, the pool area is just as lovely! Breakfast was simple continental, with a small hot food offering (eggs & bacon/sausage), but the food was lovely and enough to start our day. The Greek salad we ordered at lunch time from the pool bar was everything we love about Greek food. We had an amazing stay and would absolutely return and recommend in a heartbeat!

My only constructive feedback is that the drink prices at the pool bar are on par with the caldera view bars/restaurants and could be cheaper for residents (we’d have definitely spent more at the bar rather than at the local shop if this was the case).
