This was our first trip to Jeju island as part of our first trip to Korea or Asia in general. Jeju is a beautiful place. We specifically chose not to stay in one of the two big towns, instead opting for something that looked quiet and on the coast as a contrast to our time in Seoul. The fact that the hosts speak English was a draw, and was very helpful not just for the stay itself, but Sue very kindly helped us by calling restaurants to pre-order food as well as checking to see if places we were planning to visit were open. The little town in the Andeok valley is very small, but has a surprising number of good restaurants and convenience stores as well as access to two sections of the island's Olle trail system. You can do a mountainous hike up a cliff or a hike along the coast starting just down the street from the inn. From the rooms as well as the common breakfast area, you can see the ocean and sunset over the cliff. Our room had a good air conditioner, but we only used it once for a few hours. Otherwise we enjoyed the fresh air and slept with the sliding door open, listening to the sound of the ocean waves. The inn is in a town that is off the beaten path - it is several kilometers just to get to the main road to go to other parts of the island. But in return, you are right on the coast and it is very peaceful with very little traffic. Breakfast includes homemade bread, jam and yogurt, fresh salad, local fruit, juice, coffee, hard boiled eggs, ham, cheese and cereal. It was the same every day, but the quality was excellent.
If guests had access to laundry facilities, that would be a nice touch. However, there is a laundromat within walking distance.

Everything! The room with the sea view is even nicer than in the pictures, very spacious, clean and comfortable. The atmosphere is so relaxing, you have plenty of books to read listening to some music and hearing the sound of the waves just in front of you. The location is perfect to experience local vibes and good food away from the city caos. The owners made our stay even greater, giving us recommendations on beaches, food, where to see dolphins, museums and much more. The homemade jam for breakfast is delicious and the dog Dori is so sweet. We truly felt like at home and will be back in Italy enriched by this stay in Jeju island. Thanks again!
Nothing! For future guests we recommend renting a car and be ok with being in “the nature”, insects are around but not harmful and not a problem for us :)

Owners very friendly, accomodating and hospitable. They were easily reachable. When we had requests, they tried to accomodate. The space had a very relaxed vibe. Further, when we left they gave us free iced coffee on a hot day. Appreciate! If you need advice on where to visit in Jeju, they have a wealth of info to offer:) My single room was a nice size for a person. Very well equipped with what I need. Toilet abit small but sufficient. Cozy space with cozy lights. Strong aircon and well ventilated. A great hideout and getaway.
The location is quite a drive from main city, one should have a car to visit:) but the distance from the city makes the place extra special since it is quiet, nice, calm and really a place whereby you can unwind and slow down your pace of life.

The BnB is a 2-minute walk from pier and Baksugijeong Beach with its towering cliffs - in the early mornings catch the local Haenyeo set off for work or on Friday's and Saturday evenings you can get a front row seat down at the pier to watch the locals perform songs and plays. If you follow the paths down to the water you'll come across a Korean BBQ, Seafood and Pizza restaurant as well as Wine and Cocktail specialist cafes. In the opposite direction to the beach, everything is less than a ten-minute walk - laundromat, convenience store, bus stops and other locally owned and run restaurants. The hosts, Sue and Doldam are wonderful people. They prepared maps and reading material such as beginner's guide to South Korea and Jeju - language, etiquette and local history. On our 1st morning, we attempted to set out without having our included breakfast, but Sue stopped us and urged us to start the day off with food fuel. Although simplistic, it was made with care and kept us going right through to our next meal which was usually dinner since we spent most time sight-seeing. They served a deliciously sweet home-made marmalade, toast, boiled eggs, deli-meat, tomatoes, yoghurt and an assortment of drinks including percolated coffee (my daily fix) - if you're expecting buffet style or something grander than you're probably better off staying at a hotel instead of this 'bed and breakfast' since most BnB's don't tend go overboard. The BnB has it's onsite parking, plenty of outdoor seating which we made use of in the evenings enjoying our beers bought at the BnB as a night cap. The facilities were immaculate, our room was huge with a view of the ocean, the bathroom had great water pressure and a very well-functioning bidet. It's a quirky, fun and homely establishment - one I look forward to returning to.

Apart from the amazing location near the sea, providing beautiful views, the b&b is also in short walking distance to several restaurants, stores and cafes/bakeries. The b&b itself is beautiful and charmingly decorated. The rooms are spotless and provide views of the sea and garden. Breakfust was abundant and delicious. We loved the home-made marmalade! Sue and her husband are wonderful. They did everything to make us feel welcome and helped us with tips and suggestions on beat places to visit to match our daily plans. We were truly sad to leave.
I cannot think of a single thing that did not meet or exceed our expectations.

Doldam B&B went beyond our expectations. The facility is cosey and beautiful with a big window in our room with direct view of the ocean. The whole facility is beautiful and very pleasant. What really made our experience wonderful were the hosts. We had some travel challenges and Sue was available before and after we arrived with suggestions and support. Every day they came up with additional ideas of things that will be good for us to do and in general attended to all of our needs and beyond. No doubt, Doldam B&B is the place to be in Jeju for a meaningful and memorable experience.

The breakfast was delicious and had a wonderful homemade vibe. Sue even made us a kimchi pancake one morning. She also takes the time to ask each guest what they’re planning and provides recommendations afterwards. Really feels like staying with a grandmother who is looking after you. Sue even gave me a little present because I told her it was my birthday. On our last day we joined a town festival for the haenyeo women that Sue told us about and that was so special. The B&B is near the ocean, so it’s pretty easy to walk along the water. Lastly, we took a cooking class with Sue and it was so much fun!

The place was beautiful. Super calm and relaxing. The town was picturesque and had plenty of amenities nearby. You could see the ocean from the b&b. Public transit was within a 5 minute walk and so were most cafés and restaurants. The hosts were great: very friendly and informative. They gave great suggestions for places to visit and how to get there. They also allowed us to check in early, which was extremely kind and accommodating of them. The room was clean and tidy. It was also quite spacious. And our room had really lovley views. It felt very private. I would 100% recommend!
There's nothing I did not like. The place was great. The only thing I would say is maybe getting some kind of mattress topper. The bed was a little bit hard for my taste, but I know this is not the case for everyone, so it really isn't a must.

The owners are so kind and made great efforts to make us feel welcome, starting with great communication from the moment we booked. It was Korea's Parent's day on the last day and they made a surprise delicious Korean special dish at breakfast to mark the occasion for us and our kids. So nice! The breakfast itself is really nice, as is the coffee. There is an acoustic guitar, which I was able to play in the garden, or cafe area. Always a sign of a nice creative space, which is great for our family. Our kids forgot their pencil case and crayons and the owners were kind enough to lend us their own set. So kind! Location is great, with easy parking. It is close to a small port with varied eating locations, including bbq, seafood, a 24hr pizza place - which has amazing Italian style pizza with an authentic oven. Our kids kept saying how it's their favourite place to stay in Korea and we have live in this country for four years. We shall definitely return!
Everything was great

We had a truly wonderful stay at Doldam B&B! From the first moment we arrived, it felt like coming home. You can really feel the love that goes into every part of this accommodation. The owners are the sweetest people, they welcomed us wholeheartedly and gave us lots of advice for our Jeju travels. The included breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade Jeju tangerine jam! Our room was exactly as pictured online and had a fantastic view of both the garden and the sea. Everything was clean and comfortable. It was easy to get here by car and the location was great for some relaxed walks along the shore. We loved staying here and will definitely come back in the future!
