The staff! towel service, pool, sun beds were served well by staff for food and beverages, the views, ice cream stand, updated room with kitchenette

We were disappointed Balthazar restaurant and pool bar was closed even though we were told it would be open during our stay in June, but we understand they weren’t busy enough to staff them, and the staff they did have, worked very hard and did a great job, also the beach was too rocky for kids to play, no shops, bars/restaurants within walking distance, paid extra for a suite, it room was in the small side

The room was extremely comfortable with a lovely view. Breakfasts were amazing-fresh, full of flavour and lots of choice. The gardens were lovely to sit in with plenty of shades, beds and towels as well as natural shade. The staff were always polite and helpful. The outdoor pools are a great size.

I think that one outdoor pool should be heated, particularly as many visitors come before the high temperatures of summer. The water was very cold and too cold for young children, which is a huge shame. It would have been nice if there had been some sand on the beach right by the hotel, as it was not very appealing.

Beautiful place, great facilities. We loved it! The pools are various and fantastic. We used the resort's bicycles and cycled far along the beach promenade, that is very nice and beautiful. Malaga province is very smart about constructing a long, winding, natural beach promenade that will eventually connect Malaga city with the last town on the western edge of the Malaga province, Manilva. It is lovely and a tourist draw. The hotel is right on this promenade. In parts along the coast the beach can get narrow and at times rocky, so this winding, natural promenade more than compensates for those shortcomings. Smart move Malaga.

We originally booked a deluxe room for 3 and had to book an extra room shortly after check-in for additional children that joined our group from another resort that was further away than we originally thought. We opted for a basic room for the children. The basic room was very expensive but still half the price of our deluxe room. The basic room was exactly like our deluxe room, but with a slightly less nice view. The deluxe price was not worth it. I also missed an email from the hotel offering us a completely upgraded suite for only €169, so make sure to check your email for any deals.

Amazing location, the pools are fantastic and the staff are super efficient.

The sunbeds are overpriced at €29/ day. Considering the cost of accommodation, surely the sunbeds could've been included OR a smaller fee/ day.

Beautiful hotel, lovely rooms and bathrooms. We had a full sea view which was worth the extra. Beach restaurant really nice at lunch time. Lovely bar on high terrace. Lots of sunbeds at pool

Shame the Steak restaurant was closed in May as we would have liked to have tried it. We ate one evening in the Beach restaurant which had been lovely during the day but was disappointing in the evening. Lights were too bright and it was very noisy, no effort to make a nice ambience. A few candles, subdued lighting and the right music would have made all the difference.

The hotel was amazing, just what you'd expect from a five-star hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean and with balconies with sea views. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms lovely. The gardens and swimming pools were fantastic, and led straight to the beach, and the restaurants had a good range of delicious food.

You cannot walk to any town or village but it did not bother us, as it was only 10 minutes in a taxi to Estepona. The food and drinks were pricey, but it is a five-star hotel, so understandable.

Everything about the Kempinski is exceptional. From the welcoming check-in to the comfort of the room, to the welcoming drink on arrival, the facilities, the superb breakfast, the vibe, the concierge, the housekeeping staff, the grounds, the views, the space, the overall sense of being cared for. It's everything a hotel should be.

There was nothing about this hotel I didn't like.

outdoor pool and indoor pool with spa facilities were great, grounds were well laid out and well kept, the beach side restaurant was a very relaxing place to eat

there were no USB charging points anywhere in the room which is surprisingly out dated for a hotel which is presented to a high standard, the marketing department needs to be more upfront regarding range of offers for stay

Everything was great, staff extremely helpful and attentive, I really cannot fault them. There weren't many people in the hotel yet so I'm sure that helped but the food was always very good and everyone did their best. We changed the room to a grand one, purely for the view, again very fast response, really great team.

I wish there was more space around the pool, I think in season it's very hard to find a lounger and the beach is not really nice.
