The Location across the road from the beach. and the balcony outside our room which had a good sea view. The very helpful Reception staff and senior management.

Limited menu for evening Dinner, otherwise fine for our 3 night stay. Only a Table d’Hote Menu with a few options was available. We had Dinner on first night and went to Restaurants elsewhere for the other staff. The limited menu was. it a significant problem because we had a car.

We had a room in the annex, which was a bonus as there was easy access to the main streets and their was an enclosed area to put our bikes. There was no restaurant available for dinner, but there is plenty of choice nearby. Breakfast is superb if a little pricey.

The room rate was more than we experienced elsewhere, but the hotel benefits obviously from being recently refurbished. We did book rather late and for a weekend, so I guess you’ve got to expect the rates.

The beautiful building covered with roses and fuchsias is a delight. The lady at reception put up with my dreadful French and was so helpful. The breakfast spread was a treat and lovely to sit in the lovely conservatory or the garden.

Not a dislike but a shame the restaurant was closed and no evening dinner available as last time we were there the food was out of thus world, though we did know this in advance.

Good location, great seafood nearby

We booked a small room and that’s what we got, we could only just enter the shower as the space between the doors was very narrow, and we are not large people. We were unable to open the windows fully so it felt it claustrophobic.

Beautiful hotel - very special atmosphere. Very welcoming. Good room and facilities - but that isn't the best feature. It's the elegance and beauty of the place - everything you cannot get from staying in a modern budget hotel. Memorable and delightful. And the garden's great!

Absolutely splendid location and gardens. St Vaast is a quaint busy port with some excellent restaurants, including the hotel restaurant called Les Fuchsias. Breakfast was wonderful, great varied selection.

Our only two complaints would be the very poor Wifi connection. Plus the fairly perilous staircase to our room, not suitable for elderly guests as manhandling the baggage up the stairs could prove impossible.

Lovely friendly welcome. Good recommendation for dinner in town. Room comfortable and clean but on the small side. The hotel exterior is beautiful with climbing Fushias

No airconditioning. Had it been any hotter we'd have missed this

The charming ambiance. The staff being generally attentive, helpful and the resteraunt was stylish and the menu well received including the lobster main course. The very helpful morning receptionist who carried all our luggage 100 metres to our car.

Perhaps a slightly faster resteraunt service - we had to chase up our desserts.

no lift and we were on 2nd floor i have serious mobility issues, so climbing stairs is very difficult. The the hotel should make it clear that they have no lift and arrange to keep the three ground floor rooms reserved for guests with mobility issues.

what a shame they no longer do dinner. we stayed last year and the dinners were excellent
