I can't say enough good things about Visal Sak. It's the kind of place, if you like living near the beach, jungle and mountains, you could stay for months on end. The Cambodian lady who runs the place is a wonderful cook of various cuisines. Asian, Italian, American, you name it. She also books tours and transport. Cleaners are very good and friendly. And the value is incredible. Spaghetti Beef Bolognese, huge plate, for less than usd 5. Incroyable!! Visal Sak is a huge concrete fortress-like building right on the highway, but goes way back, so in rooms can be quiet.

The location is a bit away from amenities, but can take a tuk tuk for a dollar or two. You're in the jungle here, so there are tropical insects, etc. There is some road noise as right off main highway.

The room was a decent size for the price, the staff were friendly and happy to go out of their way to help, there was a machine for free cold and hot water for those on a budget - it all helps! The location was around a 30 minute walk to the beach, 15 minutes to the crab market. There were a couple of shops nearby to buy the basics. The food was nice, the portions were generous.

They didn’t offer us any cleaning during our stay, I guess we would have had to request it. The food took a long time each time we ordered (at least 30 minutes for 3 simple meals) as there was only one person in the kitchen (but it was also rainy season during our visit and very quiet so they didn’t need the extra staff). We didn’t care but for those that do, the TV didn’t work. They only had cold water so during the rainy season, showers were a struggle!

Staff were professional and smiling. Petite pretty girl serving in reception was happy and ready every time to please ❣️ Everything was how it was offered. Aircon,hot water,towel and toiletries. Clean foam bed with luxury furnishings. Hot water & drinking water dispenser for free. Also microwave in reception. Allowed me to use visa/master/debit card and run a tab. Meals and drinks for two people for 3 days was less than $40❤️ Food tasty and fresh. Security is high with dogs on patrol ,2 night Watchman and locked gates at 10pm. Feels a safe area. Plenty of tuk tuks on main road for getting about. 5 mins to crab market if your driver floors it🙃

Middle of nowhere, Fine with a motorbike though. Bit dusty however that's rural Kep.

Based on my trip, KEP (and the Guesthouse) has some of the best food in Cambodia hands down. Nice restaurant with a reasonably sized menu and very good portions. Staff are helpful and the properties have everything you'd need (hot water and the lot). Bicycles are free, and motorbikes are good. Can't complain

My room was very pleasant and for a budget double, very comfortable, even including a small but efficient fridge. Attached restaurant had a good choice of tasty dishes.

Restaurant was great with really good food. All the staff speak English and are friendly and helpful. Motorbikes for hire are in great condition. A small shop on site for smokes etc was great.

No hot water for shower!!,, A little too far to walk to the city centre.

Extremely clean, not only rooms but the rest of the posession and building too. It's easy to notice they pay attention to the cleanliness and take care of the every space, which is not that common in Cambodia. The room was simple but reasonably spacy, for sure not claustrophobic. It wasn't too hot even with only the fan. Nice view from the window (jungle), comfortable bed, big table (for those who work), friendly staff, who tried to help even though they don't speak english). The vegetarian options in the restaurant are tasty and the portions are huge! I recommend to go to this restaurant. It's great value for price and very cheap, i think it's worth more :)

There's is a small hole in the wall, I guess it's for air circulation (maybe that's why it's not that hot there) and due to that you can hear people on the corridor or staff when they clean.

Fantastic value for money, very clean, lovely staff and our breakfast was delicious too.

The location wasn’t the best however no problem if you just hire a scooter, which we did from the guesthouse for just £5 a day.

Simple room but cozy and has all the facilities. And it's clean. Stuff is friendly and speaks good English. Not far from krab market. You can take a bicycle for free. Also can book bus or tour on reception. Restaurant on the 2nd floor.

The shower didn't work good and no ac, just a ventilator. But for that price it's okay

The rooms were very clean. Mattress was very soft and comfortable. I liked the restaurant which had a variety of food, a lot of western and local food and they were very tasty! owner and staff were friendly and very polite and they were making a cozy and peaceful atmosphere. They have credit card payment available which was very helpful. Thanks so much. I’ll come back again.
