If you are ready for a breath of fresh, cool(er) air, then be ready for Highland Resort and Nature Tours in Tomohon. This delightful collection of villas is set at an elevation of 650 meters (2132 feet). Beautiful landscaping and lovely accommodations. We slept very comfortably in our room - even without an aircon unit! The staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating. They helped to arrange drivers and tours during our stay. We went to the crater edge of Gunung Lokon Volcano and later went to Tekaan Telu Waterfall. Along the way, we were greeted by friendly and curious locals. Be sure to learn a few basic greetings in Bahasa Indonesia and you may just find yourself a welcome guest anywhere you go! We arranged our own bird guide and had an excellent birdwatching tour. We were able to see a number of species that were high on our list, including the Scaley-breasted Kingfisher & the Superb Fruit Dove! Due to Paskah (Easter), we may not have experienced the food the way the lodge intended. Meals had to be ordered from town and not all options were available. Despite that, the staff was helpful in ensuring our stay was pleasant. We loved our stay at Highland Resort and hope we have a chance to come back!

Nice if you want a stay out of the city. Good sized bungalows, comfy, beautiful cocnut wood all around. Good staff.

The activities are véry overpriced: I looked for, and found, much more competitive services. Same for laundry.

Staff were lovely & very accommodating when we decided to book another night. In a beautiful location close to Kali Waterfall. The rooms were clean and spacious & daily housekeeping was nice. No need for aircon as it is nice & cool up there!

A fantastic option near Tomohon: a very spacious house with good internet, and the staff allowed me both early check-in and late check-out.

Perhaps consider cleaning the walls inside to remove any dead animals.

The pickup from Manado was well organized. The chalet was nice with a large and clean room. The staff was very friendly and helpful!

The bathroom was clean but very basic.

Very cosy setup with wooden floor, hot shower and excellent bed. Breakfast was served on the bungalow terrace. Good motorbikes for rental.

The food options are limited, but you can order from Grab so it can be mitigated. TV was not working (but our chromecast did the trick).

Very beautiful resort with lot of flowers, greenery and friendly cats. Super clean, room service including food delivery. They can arrange private trip at your wish ( car and guide). Vulcsno crater is must see. You can go to the starting point with Grab.

If you have kids, avoid meat section at Tomohon market or ask the guide to skip dog market, because it is horrible. The guide did warn me, but I didnt think it will be so cruel.
