This hotel is housed in a 500 year old building that looks like a house in a very narrow street, but it is beautifully renovated and the rooms are air-conditioned and spacious wirh modern bathrooms. We had breakfast out, but each evening we were treated to dinner of the highest fine dining standards with local Spanish wines. This hotel is a treasure and a pleasure well worth seeking out in the heart of Trujillo, which is a treasure in itself.

The hotel does not have a sign naming it Hotel Boutique Posada Dos Orillas. There is simply a small sign on the wall 'Dos Orillas'. The parking area is actually a small area to the left of the great stone archway at the top of the hill in front of a small gift shop. The hotel is in Cambrones which is to the left of the small restaurant directly in fronr of the archway. If you are on foor, you can walk straight up the hill from the public car park in Trujillo.

Fantastic location in the old town with a nice bar with terrace very nearby. Beautiful old building and rooms. Very nice owner/manager. Great breakfast in the courtyard while being observed by 10+ cats. Great bathroom. The manager let us park nearby because otherwise parking could be a bit far from the hotel.

When guests do not lock the main door well inside, you cannot open it anymore from the outside. This happened to us when we got back home late after dinner. The very kind manager came to open the door for us after we called him, but this took some time, and we found it embarrasing that he had to come to the hotel in the middle of the night. The hotel is a bit difficult to reach by car through small streets in the old town. Google maps will give you impossible directions that will lead you to a dead-end where it is very difficult to turn. Use the Ballesteros road.

Really helpful staff, especially as our only Spanish was through Google translate. There is adequate on street parking nearby and the hotel owner was happy to help show us where was the best place to park was. This was a real bonus as the hotel is superbly located in the old town, in easy walking distance of both the castle and the plaza mayor. Would definitely choose this hotel again if staying in Trujillo.

No breakfast in the property, but only a 5 minute walk to an excellent breakfast in the plaza mayor

What a beautiful little hotel, totally in keeping with the old town of Trujillo. A beautiful little courtyard houses their restaurant. Absolutely superb ambiance. The room was perfectly suitable, if a little on the small side. The bathroom was nice, great water pressure! The bidet stopped the door from opening past 90 degrees, making it a bit small, but again, perfectly adequate. The staff were very friendly, always actively greeting you. All in all, a wonderful stay.

We were unexpectedly met at the bus station by the owner who also dropped us back after 1 night stay. He briefly showed us the sights to go to and was very helpful. The accommodation is filled with character and located right in the heart of all the locations that we wished to visit by walking distance. We would definitely recommend this hotel one of the highlights of our 4 week trip to Spain.

A charming boutique hotel right up in the old town. It felt quite magical! We managed to park our car a few meters away which was a bonus. Great walk into Trujillo Plaza Major for dinner and so pretty. The old town was very quiet and we enjoyed wandering about all on our own.

No breakfast. English not spoken at reception - but we managed ok!

Room was excellent and given a choice of rooms. Excellent quiet air con. Comfy bed and shower great.

Had dinner at the restaurant on our second night. Food excellent but wine choice a little difficult as our 2 preferred on the list not available.

Lovely hotel in a beautifully restored historical palace. Very comfortable bed. The location in the historical centre could not be better. Close to all sights and lots of restaurants. The owner was extremely kind and drove us to the bus station at the end of our stay. I would recommend this hotel 100%.

A very comfortable and spacious room in a 500-year old building. Full of historic charm. Big bathroom. We had a view of the garden patio/restaurant. Very quiet at night. Lovely to be woken by rooster call in the morning and hear the church bells. Right in the heart of the old town and a short walk to the main square. If driving, be aware that the streets are steep, narrow and winding. The free parking is a vacant lot about 50 metres away.

Nothing in particular.

The posada is on a Renaissance palace. The owner, who will still greet you and will be happy to chat, purchased it a couple of decades back, gutted the interior and rebuilt it trying to stay true to the style of the palace and still including modern conveniences and a touch of modern decor here and there. It is a couple of minutes walk from everything in the old town, hyperconvenient for sightseeing. And owner and staff are very friendly and helpful.

The room was a bit odd shaped, but that did not really bother us. A few things need repairs, the 20+ year renovation is showing signs of aging.
