Beautiful location and room directly overlooking the main plaza and the old-old town directly opposite. As it was Easter week, all the major processions crossed through the square, so some we watched with the people down below and some from our room - fabulous. Staff also were very friendly and helpful.

Two minor things: One curtain was not working, I temporarily repaired it with a staff member and they replaced it the next day. And we could not adjust the cooling from the air conditioner: the staff agreed they need to upgrade the air conditioning system.

Its location is perfect for exploring Cáceres, staff, friendly, courteous, efficient, professional. Rooms are well appointed, good shower.

Didn’t like is perhaps too strong a phase - breakfast was ok, it wouldn’t appeal to me but that’s a personal opinion. Taxis - I had to get an early train to catch a flight from Madrid. I checked twice with the hotel if I needed to book, no, no, always on the rank (far end of square from hotel€ and desk is manned 24//7 so we can call one. Guess what, no taxi on rank and took a long time to get one - was squeaky bum time!

It was very central , clean & the staff were friendly

We were woken up at 3.45 by a very loud party of people and a screaming child and the noise went on for at least 20 minutes with people walking up and down the corridor with no attempt to be quiet. The 20 euros extra for cleaning because we had a dog was a bit excessive. I can’t see that there would be anything extra cleaning to do just because we had a dog - the beds would be changed, the floors swept and the bathroom cleaned as normal??

Everything other than the breakfast.

The restaurant attached to the hotel where the breakfast was served let the hotel down badly. The breakfast did not have much choice and the only warm food (other than the toast) scrambled egg, bacon and migas were regularly cold. We went both early in the serving time and late and the food was cold both times. If you wanted cereal (choice of 3) and milk, you had to ask the man behind the counter for the milk and he poured it on for you. You also had to ask the man for coffee or tea. We had an evening meal in the restaurant on the first night and the meal and service was equally as bad. If we stay at the hotel in the future we would not have the breakfast there. There are a number of bars in the plaza mayor serving breakfasts so we will try one of those.

The Arch of the Star and the old city is just in front of the hotel door! Camilo's warm hello spark our happy feeling. Got the room keys in a minutes while having nice convo. Clean, good size room, firm mattress, very long comfy pillow. Good insulation so we barely heard loud music at Plaza Mayor in front of the hotel. It's good that we have coffee machine in the room because at 8.30-ish the cafe is still close. We will surely be back.

Hotel is right on the Plaza Mayor in the centre of the historic city. Loads of nearby restaurants and bars but surprisingly quiet. Francisco on reception gave us a free upgrade to a room overlooking the Plaza. The hotel doesn't have parking which means that luggage has to be hauled to the nearest car park involving a flight of steps. However this didn't detract from our enjoyment of the hotel and the city which has some fantastic historic buildings and monuments.

Wonderful location, although in the main center, room was quiet and peaceful. Wonderful and helpful staff who guided and helped us with some tour reservations.

We had a family room on 4th floor and the only view was through a window in the ceiling. Bathroom smelt of sewage during the first day, but they cleaned it thoroughly next day.

To start with the pleasant, helpful staff! We did not get her name but the young woman working the front desk the afternoon of Monday Dec.2 went above and beyond for us! She was wonderful! Our room was beautiful and comfortable. The bed was so comfortable. The room was spotless. But the view was just awesome! Can’t wait to return!

Can’t think of a thing!

We arrived late but the check in was still very quickly. The location can not be bettered as the Hotel is right on the Plaza Mayor. Our room didn't have a view of the square but if you booked a room overlooking the Plaza it will be even better. We didn't eat at the hotel at all so can not comment on the restaurant or food. Check-out was also easy and we could store our luggage after check-out and before leaving town. There is public parking close by. Friendly and efficient staff. I also had some laundry done which was quick (but expensive!) Very comfortable bed and pillow, and a lovely strong shower with hot water.

We didn't have a bottle opener (cork screw or bottle opener) in the room to open the tonic water (in a glass bottle) which was in the mini-bar. I had to go down to reception to ask for it and was told to go ask next door at their restaurant (eventually got one from a waiter). Since there are drinks available in the room's mini-bar a bottle opener should be provided as well please.

The situation of the hotel was fabulous, facing the main Square. When I entered the hotel I thought, ‘ Oh no. I can’t afford this’. In fact it was extremely reasonably priced. The room was lovely. Bathroom was good. Bed, a double was a good size and comfy. It was nice to have breakfast included, and the meal was okay.

I was very happy with the stay.
