Stayed in a junior suite, great large room with a living room area and perfect bathroom with separate shower. Tastefully put together, kept super clean, and the staff is very attentive and helpful. Spectacular views, very peaceful and we really enjoyed breakfasts on the dining room porch, visiting the chapel, and walking the grounds on the footpaths. Beautiful hikes nearby in the national park. Convenient parking; if you’re driving in, just go around the cone blocking the front entrance and drive through the pedestrian area approaching the momentary, the hotel parking is around the back of the monastery.

It was a bit pricier than other places, including for the laundry service, but then again it’s a very nice experience so perhaps you get what you pay for! We were very happy to have chosen to stay here for 4 nights.

Our second stay here. Enjoyed it again. Spartan but spacious, comfortable rooms. Excellent but dangerous buffet breakfast - they have cake!!!! Too nice! WiFi is best in the foyer area. Inconsistent in rooms, but who needs that, right? Beware, you don't need an alarm clock here. The church bells ring loudly each morning at 7am. You'll know you're alive! Consider mountain view side for a quieter stay. Lake side is above tourists, peacocks, & those bells! 5pm ding dong ring a ring as well! But it's all ok. Army beach past the hotel is the gem. Peaceful, relaxed, cafe with very cheap beverages + excellent swimming - clear & buoyant. So tranquil early (prior to 9am). Ly on the grass & just chill for hours. I want to go back........ The location is absolutely beautiful and truly unmatched in Ohrid. Waking up in a lake-view room was quiet, peaceful, and simply unforgettable. The setting around the monastery and the lake makes this hotel one of the most unique places to stay in the area.

Unfortunately, cleanliness is borderline non-existent. The moment you enter, you can count the spider webs, and we even came across a few spiders. While I understand the old furniture fits the overall atmosphere, the lack of proper cleaning makes me question the standards of the facilities overall. Breakfast-wise: Given the number of tourists who visit, there’s a lot of room for improvement here, both in the variety (especially by adding more local dishes) and in the way it is presented. The food presentation does not match the hotel vibe.

The entrance was very grand and the location was spectacular-right next to the monastery with amazing views. The two bedroom apartment was large, basic but comfortable. We had 2 excellent breakfasts in the restaurant and a pleasant dinner experience also. We were a short stroll to the Spring Boats, the beach and the markets and restaurants. The location was fantastic!

Our first night’s sleep was very disturbed due to a dripping toilet setting off a loud, vibrating pump which shook the bed. We let reception know. They offered to move us for our second night, but we really didn’t want to have to pack up again and move so we opted to stay and have their maintenance person look at the problem. They said they fixed it but the same problem happened the second night. We turned the toilet fill tap off at the wall so we could get some sleep.

We only intended to stay at Saint Naum Monastery complex for a couple of hours and then move on to Albania a few minutes drive away. However, after visiting the monastery, we took an interest in this unusual, fascinating hotel just by the monastery and enquired about a room. We ended up staying!  The views are amazing! also lovely beaches next to the hotel. Double glazing so the room was quiet. Moreover the hotel is very clean. The staff are very nice, some total characters. Two In particular were beyond lovely: the receptionist and the young lady in the restaurant. We enjoyed talking and listening to them. Thank you both for your treatment. We followed your recommendations. Breakfast was included and was acceptable but could have definitely benefited from fresh additions such as yoghurt. Make sure you arrive on time for breakfast and/ or dinner. The restaurant serves a nice meal for lunch and in the evening. We had the fish it was very well cooked. In all an absolute unique experience. We  totally recommend!  

The hotel was absolutely lovely — peaceful and serene, offering a perfect escape. The views were truly spectacular, and the staff went above and beyond, always friendly and accommodating. One of the most charming touches was the presence of beautiful peacocks roaming the grounds. The gentle sound of church bells in the distance added to the overall sense of calm and tranquility.

The only downside to this hotel was that all the restaurants closed by 8 p.m., which made it a bit difficult to grab a late dinner

Once you drive in the area and parked beside the monastery, you immediately feel you are previliged because other tourist cannot drive in the area. After all the day tourist gone, you feel you own the whole lake and monastery. The hotel is in the building obviously was monk's living quarters in the ancient time. There are peacocks roaming in the garden. In the morning, you are awakened by the sound of peacocks in the yard.

Authentic, very clean, peaceful, amazing view, but most importantly very kind friendly staff that makes your stay exceptional. The whole atmosphere of the place early in the morning before the first tours arrive is unforgettable. the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. Thank you!

It can be quite cold in the evening and early morning so dress appropriately.

This place is such a gem! I honestly loved everything. The room was super clean, everything worked just right. Big shower, comfy beds – perfect. You’d never guess it’s an old building, they really take care of it and it shows. The view of the lake was amazing, nature all around, and it was so peaceful – especially in the mornings and evenings. And the peacocks singing.

I am on a road trip from Vienna to Odrin through every single Balkan Country. Best place to stay, second to nothing! Clean, quiet, spiritual, people are awesome :) The breakfast was fine, but the view toward the lake was just fantastic. I hope I can visit again. Sorry for the trouble with the car, but thanks for the help!

All good! Probably the fridge should be in the room with the table, but other than this, perfect! Can be little noisy when the tourists start gathering up.
