Excellent value for the price and location. The breakfast was by far the best we have experienced for the price point.

The checkin process needed our credit cards to be copied and stored. This was because the normal checkin system was not functioning and as a result guest credit card information could not be captured electronically. The manager was very kind and offered us the option of canceling our reservation. However this would not have worked for us as it was late in the night. So we had no option but to allow the front desk clerk make a physical paper copy of our credit card. Hopefully the hotel has destroyed all physical copies of the credit cards. They should have a better mechanism in place in case of an outage.

Breakfast was way more various compared to when we stayed in New York. They were on top of it when it ran out and quickly refilled. The staff was knowledgeable when it came to our questions and accommodated us even when they were dealing with other difficult situations.

We stayed during the holidays and were told via letter in our room when cleaning services weren’t there. I wish we were told prior to our visit. It happened again during New Years so we weren’t able to leave a tip for the person who cleaned the day prior.

The breakfast was free which was great, wide selection. It was comfortable, and there wasn’t much to complain about. You get what you pay for- it’s nice for short term stay if you’re in the area, or maybe a cheaper alternative to a hotel in Washington. it’s easy enough to get around with Ubers if you’re okay with waiting a bit for them to pick you up.

If you set your expectations as a hotel for convenience and don’t expect the Grand Plaza then there isn’t much to be worried about. There might be the occasional dust or cracks not cleaned enough but if you’re mostly outside exploring and staying just for sleep, it’s not a problem. I enjoyed my time here when I did stay, which was pretty much only to shower, sleep, and get ready.

It is a little bit out from centre but they have the shuttle that takes you near a bus stop for the bus. I used Uber to get to the hotel. When I booked I pressed silver only and he was going to take us in a different hotel. I told him as soon as I got on the cab that I want silver spring and he kept telling me ,NO.. you did not order that. After a while we told him we will pay him extra for my mistake. When we got to the hotel.i was going to pay him extra by cash. He asked me for $50 and said I wouldn't have to pay Uber because he cancelled it. Funnily enough we where charged $48 by Uber too. So be careful when using Uber. They did not refund me all the money just part of it. Very Disappointed with Uber.

Breakfast is really good for the price, the room was confortable and clean. Staff was very polite and helpful. This is my second time in this hotel and it really worth the price.

This is not against the hotel itself, but the neighbourhood was more dirty and seem insecure than the previous year. I Hope the local authorities improve this. This affect the businesses on the area including this hotel.

I booked this hotel for my mom, who confirmed to me her stay at Holiday Inn Express Washington, was great value for money. Her room was basic but comfortable and clean. The staff were very accommodating as she arrived after a cross-continent flight, and they were easy to communicate with and managed to get her check-in early. and they were courteous and helpful throughout her stay. I would recommend this hotel highly for being great value for money and the supportive staff.

I particularly like the breakfast and the location of the Hotel. I had forgotten my jacket after breakfast, I was in a state of shock when I discovered this some four hours later. The coat had my wallet with money and my credit/Debit Cards which were found by Ms Ebony and handed to Ashlee for safekeeping and eventually given to me. I must commend Ebony for her honesty and integrity.

I would never have booked if I knew I had to pay an extra security deposit of $100! And apparently it's expected to be returned within 7-10 days!? We have travelled the better part of our lives, and this is the first time we've ever been asked to pay a security deposit at a hotel. I know I should have paid more attention to the hidden "important instructions" on Booking.com, but still...

The bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was great, plenty to choose from!

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Room was spacious - no complaints. Reasonable rate for DC. Reception staff ok with one exception. I thought quite a reasonable breakfast.

I asked a late afternoon receptionist whether they offered luggage storage. Her reaction was very strange and quite hostile. She said the building manager was unavailable at the moment so couldn't answer and seemed to view my request as a very odd one I thought most hotels would have a policy which would be familiar to their staff. Anyway I moved on as she was getting agitated at my incomprehension that she didn't know this. Next day I went again to reception and got an instant answer - yes they did offer luggage storage but the hours were limited and would not suit me. Perhaps all reception staff could be bought up to speed.
