Good location, environment friendly.

Parking instructions weren't clear. My recommendations for visitors to voco Times Square South New York by IHG are as follows: 1- If you have a car; book your room and include parking. 2- When you go to a park at the designated location for the first time, the parking providers will provide you with a ticket, take this ticket to the Hotel lobby and have them put a yellow sticker at the back of the parking ticket. 3- repeat every time you bring the car in and out.

The location of the hotel is easy and convenient to stay at if you are planning to be downtown most of the time. The staff when I was checking in was really friendly and helpful, and even the housekeeping as well.

The room is pretty tight for a king size room because it's the same size if you book a standard room. There's barely any space to move if you have luggages with you or your friends. The days we were staying at there's only 1 elevator working for the entire building which is kind of hassle. There was a mandatory amenity fee of $25 you have to pay every night you stay which they will tell you when you checked in. We have a breakfast included but later found out it was a "to go" kind of breakfast The girl who checked us out didn't even bother to ask how was our stay, just printed my invoice and then that's it.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Voco Time square IHG hotel, located just 10 minutes away from the iconic Times Square. From the moment I arrived, the service was nothing short of exceptional. The staff was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and eager to ensure every aspect of my stay was seamless. Whether it was concierge recommendations, efficient check-in, or thoughtful touches throughout my visit, their commitment to hospitality was truly commendable. The hotel's location is one of its strongest assets. Situated in the heart of Manhattan, it offers unparalleled convenience for exploring the city. Major attractions like Broadway theaters, Rockefeller Center, and Fifth Avenue shopping are all within walking distance, making it the perfect choice for both business and leisure travelers. Despite being in such a bustling area, my room was a tranquil retreat, well-appointed with modern amenities and plush comforts. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a refined and comfortable stay in Times Square.

Small rooms, limited amenities

Everything was good and we were very please with our visit in New York. It says that breakfast is included, which it is, but it is NOT european continental standard. You need to order one of the selections from the menu. So if you are hungry person that might be too little. Standard room were a bit small.

Location was perfect and room were clean.

Absolutely amazing hotel! Fabulous position, lovely clean and quiet room, super friendly and flexible staff, breakfast was incredible and with many savoury and sweet options freshly made on demand. Rooms were made every day, the restaurant serves good food at reasonable prices to be in the centre of Manhattan. Little additions such as the free bottle of water, the free cocktails upon arrival, the popcorn in the afternoon, a little shop with sandwiches and drinks in case of emergency made also a difference. But overall all the staff was always smiling and willing to help. The atmosphere was so relaxing that we also enjoyed quiet evenings when we remained at the hotel! You really made our stay in NY so enjoyable, thank you so so much! We will absolutely come back on our next trip and recommend VOCO to all our friends who will come to NY!

You are close to the subway - penn station is just down the road.

I would like to say everything was great but I always read reviews before I book and I want to be honest. This is a sketchy location if you are travelling with families - we have seen people literally injecting themselves just outside the door. Also do not book the airport shuttle overpriced an uber much cheaper. For NYC the rooms are to be expected but so small. The lift is also an issue.

I walked everywhere from this location. So central. Could fill up.water.bottle in the foyer which really helped avoid paying ridiculous prices for bottles when out and about. Staff were friendly. Great atmosphere in the lobby.

The price..but it is new York and comparable to other hotels. The shuttle to the airport is way too expensive. So much cheaper to walk 10 minutes and grab the uber airport shuttle. Some sketchy homeless a few doors down from the hotel. The bed was awful. There is zero sound proofing, be prepared to hear sirens all night. Just bring earplugs. The AC is soooo loud.

Great location, in the heart of the city but still in a quite area away from noise and crowds. Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel and room was nice and clean. All furniture in great condition, like new. Quiet section at the back of lobby full of comfy chair and sofas where we could relax after hours on crowded streets. Nice bar with good choice of drinks. Luggage storage for free. Nice welcome drink at the bar. 10$ credit daily to use at the bar or restaurant. Coffee machine in the room. Coffe and water supply daily. Free lemonade and popcorn in the lobby daily.

I can’t really think of any negative sides.

We spent five nights at Hotel Voco Times Square and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent – right in the heart of the city, so we could walk to almost everything from restaurants and shops to sights like Times Square and Broadway. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly. The central location made exploring the city on foot very easy. We would happily stay here again.

here really wasn’t anything we disliked. The rooms were indeed on the small side, but we knew that beforehand and expected it given the central location. It didn’t detract from our overall positive experience.

Very comfortable and clean rooms, great staff (I especially want to give a shoutout to Francisco and Efigenia but EVERYONE was amazing and friendly and welcoming) that made us feel at home (never felt this way before at a hotel), great breakfast (you pick it from the menu, it's not buffet) plus discount at the restaurant for dinner options. I liked how the hotel makes various efforts to make things more green - e.g. they gave us refillable metal water bottles so that we don't buy water nor use plastic cups. There is also two door tags - Do Not Disturb (as in: please come back later) and the other one that signals you don't want cleaning on a given day at all. I encourage you to note that the latter are best to put on display at night so the hotel staff can plan better for the next day - we kept forgetting about that and feeling bad later, though no one ever mentioned it to us. Another thing that I need to mention is that even though check in started at 4pm, we were allowed to check in earlier because the room was free. However, even with no free rooms, we could use a storage room which was super convenient. As for the location, it is very convenient - close to Penn Station and the Empire State Building, with many other interesting landmarks and museums within comfortable walking distance. We also never felt unsafe in the neighborhood. To sum it up, this place exceeded our expectations and we loved it there. If we ever come back to NYC, I'm sure we won't even be looking for any alternatives.

There are only two small elevators and 25 floors so it takes ages to get up / down. I understand that this is not something that voco can just go and fix but I had to write something in this section lol
