Stay Baranasi Well what’s behind the Yellow Door ? This hotel would have to be the highlight of my trip to India (Varanasi A Diamond in the rough)amazing experience from the owner (Manish ) I would have to say a pleasure meeting, one that is the pinnacle off such high values and passion in making your stay one to remember . I can’t forget to mention (Sameer) the Food and Beverage Manager professional in every way thank you mate , also to all the staff who have such passion and high level of Hospitality values . The Chefs prepared amazing food that has to be the best I have in counted throughout my 33 day journey through out India. And a very special thank you to ( mitali )for making every day a special day with her beautiful smile . To all at Stay Banaras thank you . You have opened a Yellow door to our Hearts. Nothing perfect in every way

Great staff, great breakfast diversity and restaurant cooking ( the staff in the kitchen produced wonderful things). Great help from all staff in sharing ideas for local adventures and helping with transport. Returning each day or night like coming back to an oasis in the middle of a busy city. An oasis with friendly faces and many shared discussions. Over a 13 night stay it was also an easy place to say hullo to fellow local and international visitors.

I am just greedy, some more time staying there. Probably how I'm logged in but I am an Aussie who lives in Cambodia - not American as flagged by this review (Booking.com issue not the hotel's)

Extremely clean and well-maintained property. Great attention to detail. The staff is very friendly, helpful and efficient. Would 10/10 recommend! - Rooms are well cleaned and perfect in size - All facilities including toiletries, clean linen, smart TV, mini fridge, room slippers are included - Complimentary welcome drink, water bottles and a cute little snack basket!

The tariff is slightly on the higher side but if you're willing to spend, this is the best you get in the city. There are no elevators so if you have parents with knee issues, might not be the best option. Beds in the deluxe room could've been harder. Rest all great!

I came in ill, stomach ache and fever. in the evening the pain became unbearable and discussed with the manager of reception, Rohit Tiwari, and he brought me to a hospital. He stayed all the time with me, drove me to second doctor for echo scans. Being in such situation as a foreigner it felt so nice and safe he was there with all his patience. i had a very sincere abdomen infection and medicines helped in the many following days. many many thanks for especially the help of Rohit. i will never forget that form of hospitality and warm gesture. hotel in general was good, garden very nice to sit. Again, many thanks to Rohit Tiwari!

A yellow and white bungalow tucked away in the small lanes of Varanasi. This boutique hotel was one of the coziest places I have lived in. So cozy that I didn’t want to step out of here. I booked a private room which was on the 2nd floor of the bungalow and the route approaching the room was like just how I imagine my own home to be. A white washed terrace with green plants and wooden benches took my heart away. You could spend your days and nights here reading, thinking and doing nothing just stare at the nature all around you. Walking down the yellow steps I fell in love looking at the cut little, able for two balcony. This became my spot. I sat here for hours together in solitude. The room was very cozy just like in the movies. The pictures on the wall made the room even more special with photographs of local Banarasi people, from whom I couldn’t take my eyes off. The outdoor café is a lively place with a live singer, garden lights and few tables that make the space very intimate. I opened my laptop ordered a lemon iced tea and opened my laptop to watch “The Ugly Truth”. What a setting it was for a perfect Rom Com movie. The staff is extremely corporative and makes you feel like one of their own. Although everything here is “do it yourself”, the staff is very polite and keeps asking if they can help you in anyway. A simple yet a very outstanding place in the middle of this culturally vibrant city. If you want to have a calm and peaceful stay among some kind and generous people, Stay Banaras is ‘THE PLACE’ you need to be in.

As soon as you walk through the entrance of Stay Banaras you know that you have chosen the right hotel. Everything is just right. The staff are welcoming, friendly & extremely helpful and because it has a smaller number of rooms it has retained that personal touch, which can be lacking in larger hotels. The rooms are attractive & bright, some with their own balconies. There is an excellent restaurant set in a peaceful garden courtyard, which is clearly a 'destination' in itself for some visitors. Apart from the delicious food it was so nice to be able to get a great cup of coffee! Stay Banaras is a tranquil oasis to retreat to from the chaos of Varanasi. Of the 3 hotels that I have stayed at in Varanasi this is BY FAR the best choice.

Be cautious about renting a motor scooter! I overestimated my ability to cope with the traffic

We had the best experience staying here with Stay Banaras. Everything starting from their Welcome drink, hassle free check in process, clean and hygienic rooms. They also gave us an itinerary to plan for one day trip the best. The asset of this place is the location, ambience and a very very courteous staff. They are friendly, polite and respectful. Kudos to the entire team for giving us the experience we've always imagined receiving. Longing for more and will be back soon, Ankur & Chandni ☺️

I must say this is the best place to be when you're in Varanasi. I absolutely loved the ambience of this place. Situated away from the hustle life of the main city. The room was clean and of a good size. The staff members were extremely friendly and helpful. They even took me to a nearby hospital when I fell sick. The food was scrumptious and didn't disappoint at all. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone especially solo travelers.

Really lovely place for a few days to explore this amazing city. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They helped me with everything and were so kind. Breakfast choice everything you need! Loved it. Would come back for sure. Perfect for solo travellers. Nice to meet other people there.

Missed some natural light in the bedroom, but lots of other rooms had, so maybe just mine 😉 if it's important probably good to ask by booking

Well kept and a great place to return to. The restaurant served great food and was always a good option after a long day around Varanasi. Very close to town also with rickshaws arranged by staff which was much appreciated. Staff overall was very accommodating and made the staff very comfortable.

Some of the bedding could be upgraded. Towels provided were new but unfortunately resulted in cotton residue when trying to dry. Staff was kind enough and aware of this to advice up front and changed for us at request.
