Very quiet place, excellent to take a rest after long working day.

The apartment was comfortable, and the large windows and balcony bathed us in sunlight and fresh air. Being on a corner, the apartment offered views of both the quiet village and green forest areas in front of the hotel as well as the expanse of the river valley, castles and rolling hills in the distance. One evening we even spied an alpaca from the nearby reserve munching on some grass just across the road. The decoration of our "Leonardo da Vinci" apartment was lovingly done with flair and expertise, and the customization for the use of the space to accommodate the facilities for kitchen/bathroom and dining area was done skillfully. The historic building maintains it's age and charm, with a bright, sunny and beautiful breakfast room. The updated boutique property still feels like the chic mountain resort that it has been for many years, although it is relatively petite and intimate compared to sprawling resorts of today. The weekend breakfast offerings were plentiful and delicious. As the breakfast is served on weekends only, on Monday I ventured out on foot down into the village of Bad Salzig to find a local bakery that was recommended to me by the owner (lovely 5 minute walk), and we enjoyed our pastries and coffee in our room on our sunny balcony. Comfortable chairs with tables outside for guests (on the ground floor, both in the shade and full sun) offer another lovely seating option for lounging, eating, relaxing, etc... surrounded by flowers and beautiful landscaping. Our hosts, the owner Jo, and the hotel staff, went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and informed about our rooms, the hotel, the breakfast and the area. Jo paused his gardening to help us to our room upon arrival (carrying my heavy suitcase up the stairs, thankfully) and showed us the features of our room in person.

I cannot think of a thing that could have been better, except that we would have liked to stay longer.

The owner we found was very charming, she made us feel very welcome. The bedroom was lovely, well decorated and the bed were very, good height and very comfortable.

We booked this accommodation through "booking.com" this was listed as 4* hotel when using there search. This is not a hotel, no breakfast during the week, only at weekends- reserved for €15.00 ​​per day.'s pp., no lifts and no airconditioning. The price shown with booking.com included parking of which we were told by the owner parking was reserved for €6.00 ​​per day. We had to park around the back of the property. The property was listed in Boppard when using booking.com search, it is in Bad Sazig 10 minutes drive from Boppard.

We had a great time there, we were absolutely satisfied with everything, the rooms were nice and comfortable and the big plus was the breakfast although it was just thru the weekend. We are extremely grateful for their willingnes, becouse we forgot an expensive item in our room and they send it back to our home in Slovakia without any problems! We surely looking forward to our next stay.

Friendly staff, consistently charming design, even the plates used for breakfast followed the same style. Breakfast is excellent value for money: 15 euros for a huge buffet breakfast with champagne! Warm meal is cooked in front of you, gives a homey feeling. Parking is easy, plenty of spots around the hotel. Beautiful park just opposite, ideal for a short stroll.

Just as a suggestion, not a negative comment in any way: staff could wear a stylish badge or similar so that it is easier to see who is a guest and who is working in the breakfast area.

The staff were warm and welcoming. The rooms were neat, cozy and quiet. A place for quiet relaxation and walks in nature. Absolutely love it. Something to keep in mind is that this place is designed for coziness and quietness and it delivers

A lovely location in the woods within walking distance of the town and Rhine. A beautiful mansion house tastefully decorated. Rooms really clean, comfortable beds and good facilities. Would be happy to stay here again when travelling in this area.

The staff was wonderful, so helpful with recommendations. The location was also very comfortable. Walking distance to supermarket and train station.

If you look at value for money it was on the expensive side of hotels. The room were small and the kitchen very small. I think their renovation will make this hotel spectacular

The historic hotel had a feel about it that spoke of old works charm. The hotel decorations complimented the opulent look of the place, yet it was up to date with a bathroom in each room.

An intimate place to share with close family. The staff was great- friendly and accommodating. The restaurant breakfast and dinner was elegant and beautifully prepared. This hotel is unique and special for a European holiday! They provided free tickets for our travels to Boppard town where we enjoyed climbing tower and the tram providing scenic views overlooking Rhineland.
