The staff on reception were exceptional and gave a very warm welcome. The location of the hotel is fantastic and a boot room on the ground floor makes it easy to reach the slopes. The restaurant, bar and lounge area overlooking the slopes are well equiped and well stocked with games whilst you relax.

Some items ran out quickly and were not replaced at the breakfast buffet even before the close at 10am. The bathroom was not as clean as it should have been and there was a smell of damp, the carpet needed a clean.

very helpful and friendly staff, very good service, very comfortable beds, plenty of hot water for showers and baths, cocktails served in the bar, good wines, fresh fruit available at mealtimes, mixed selection of food available for evening meal, great selection of breads for breakfast, places to sit and play cards, good location for skiing, enjoyed the ski area with easy access to all the grand massif, good lifts, few queues except at the DMC.

room was situated alongside piste and near forum so it was noisy at night, some of the hot meat was served in big lumps/pieces and would have been better if carved more thinly, shame the 6 Nations rugby match was not available to watch with sound on in the bar however the match could be viewed in ones room or in other bars outside the hotel.

Hotel Totem was in an excellent location in Flaine - close to the lifts and the bars/restaurants. We were on half board, which I would recommend. The food was varied, well prepared and presented. The staff were super friendly and a key asset for the hotel - always smiling and nothing was too much trouble.

We were told that the gym was part of our package - we had a Club Balcony room - but that the Spa was an extra. This was fine as all we required was access to a gym - 3 days into the stay my wife was told that we would have to pay an extra €10 - the hotel needs to make this clear during the booking.

Staff were friendly and the service was good, Location is fantastic for restaurants and to the ski lifts Hotel was very clean and comfortable beds

The shower water pressure in the room was very poor Even when the Spa was empty my son was not allowed to join me being 14 years old This meant he had to stay in the room whilst I used the facilities and the main reason I used it and had to pay 10 Euro was for the shower The ski locker room needs a drying facility

Our second trip to the Totem - we like the location, the in-house ski shop, the staff, the spa, the quirky decor, the food, the views and the general vibe of the place. Very chilled and relaxing place to stay with nothing too much trouble for the friendly staff.

The hotel was very busy with a corporate booking on our final night, which disturbed the relaxing atmosphere but did not spoil our stay. The only improvement I would make would be to install heated boot driers in the ski locker room as our boots did not dry out overnight.

Delightful hotel , rooms were well equipped and nice furnishings . Beds very clean and comfy . Bathroom very clean and nice shower . Breakfast was nice , lots of variety . Pain au chocolates were delicious . Bar area warm and friendly , we stopped in for a drink each evening post skiing . Lovely friendly ambience . Staff are great , helpful and friendly . A nice place to stay and led straight out onto the ski lift area .

There was nothing we didn’t like .

All restaurants in Flaine Forum were excellent. Safe area for small children to enjoy sledging although think older children with more robust means of sledging should be banned for safety.

My family stayed at CGH - never again ! apart from the apartment having a large window taped up as damaged(couldn't be opened) the sofa bed was broken (maintenance came but said couldn't do anything until following Saturday!) to get to the apartment up one lift to 4 then walk along corridor to another lift to go down to 3 and walk along corridor to get to apartment- NB-not a convenient place to take young children! Boot Room not convenient - my family will never stay here again - reception shut during the day couldn't careless attitude - for the amount of money charged -absolute rip off

Excellent location. Friendly by name and friendly by nature.

The evening buffet. 46€. No vegetarian main course option despite requests. Simply pointed to the vegetables and dry pasta by the chef - “this is vegetarian”. If you don’t eat meat or fish there are options to eat from the bar menu - otherwise better veggie options in “town” (Lili’s pizza, Les Chalets at the bottom of the slopes)

The staff at this hotel is just the best. Everyone is very warm and welcoming and they did everything they could to make our stay memorable and amazing. Thank you for making our first family snowboarding Christmas holidays a one hard to beat!

We have visited Flaine many times over the years and never stayed at the Totem as from the outside it looks like a Russian prison......what a mistake! Inside it is quirky, comfortable, welcoming and we will definitely return! We loved the decor, the comfort of the room, the view, the food, the staff, the spa, the bar, the location, and the fantastic in-house ski rental shop (very civilised!).

Nothing major - if I were to make tiny improvements I would add some heating to the boot/ski room as our boots did not dry out overnight; and I would add a mirror in the club rooms as currently the only mirror available is in the bathroom.
