The hotel is charming and quite centrally located, and the nearby parking that could be booked was very handy. The breakfast was rich and included a wide choice of sweet and savoury options. Staff was helpful and friendly.

The room was quite small, as to be expected for a city hotel. However, it could have been furbished more comfortably. For instance, instead of a closet, there was just a slim shelf, which may do for a day or two, but not for a full-week stay. The shower was leaking and inundated the small bathroom each time we used it.

We stayed at the St Regis on a stopover. It’s a great location within walking distance of the river and many bars and restaurants. There is private parking (not sure of cost) but also street parking around the hotel if you are lucky enough to find a space. All the staff were really helpful. The room was clean and comfortable with a bathroom that had a bath with a shower. Unfortunately, the restaurant wasn’t open while we were there which the hotel had advised us of in advance (it was boxing day). Would recommend a stay here and would definitely come again.

The hotel must have a great history which I would love to know more The lift in particular only for 4 people / 300kg and something you think about from 1920’s films Our room was end of the hotel over looking junction with large terrace window could open with quirky walls and original wooden doors hiding cupboards and the bathroom. Very comfortable and clean room Is a little dated in the bathroom but can be overlooked. Restaurant is classy and perfect Selection of food was incredible and wine delicious with service from attentive staff Well done to all staff at this hotel

The bathroom had a large door / window too with no curtain I am hopeful showering didn’t scare adjacent neighbours

Lovely room, super comfortable bed and soft thick towels. Curtains blocked the light very well so it was nice to sleep in a dark room. Very quiet and peaceful place. I liked the complimentary bathroom products. Breakfast was good. Great air conditioning - the room was cool even during the heat wave. Monsieur at the reception was very kind and helpful and spoke perfect English so it was easy to communicate.

Only one plate and one glass per person at breakfast. If you want to have a refill, you have to use dirty dish. Maybe it's ecological, but I prefer clean dishes for buffet for hygienie reasons.

Beautifully renovated hotel in a great, central location: Cool, creative Decor and comfortable rooms (only reason I gave it a 9 and not a 10, is because of the older bathrooms (but these were otherwise pristinely clean). Also staff was super friendly (especially the lady at reception, mid-20‘s with long blonde hair), especially since we are traveling with a larger dog.

City location a few minutes easy walk from town centre. Traditional style hotel, with good size well decorated rooms. I loved the old lift, though the stairs are probably easier! Nice restaurant and bar. Parking is a couple of minutes walk away in a secure garage.

Decor and furniture in the rooms wasn't anything special but it's a small point.

Central location, easy to find, easy to get to other places in town, although on this occasion I opted to eat in the hotel. Secure locked garage, very important as car filled. Hotel is old building, but rooms updated.

Room was noisy, as faced front, and warned windows open. Would ask for back room next time.

Hi This hotel is very central and was easy to walk to all the things we wanted to see. The meal we had in the restaurant we excellent as was the whole stay. We were provided with really secure storage for our bikes which is always nice. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Chalon is a nice City to visit and we would like to go back and would use this hotel again.

Hotel had character and was tastefully furnished but room was very compact. Car park was very convenient. Town centre very near by. Staff helpful and friendly. Good value for money. I would stay again if travelling in the area.

Nice old fashioned French hotel. Chalon sur Saone is an average sort of place but the hotel is charming. We have stayed before and the hotel restaurant is top class but it's closes Sunday and Monday so we had to go out to find something. Not easy on a Sunday night!
