The best aspect about staying in La Riviera B&B Chambres d'hôtes is wonderful friendly accommodating hosts. The country location by the river is beautiful - close to both Bordeaux and Saint-Emillion, and they have the cutest petit goats! The cosy shared living area has a lovely fire so would be lovely for the cooler nights as well the warmer months We stayed in the Balneo suite which was so romantic, spacious and has the most amazing jacuzzi. And lastly the food - whilst the dinner is designed to be smallish as it is a B&B, the hosts accommodated our dietary needs - vegetarian, and provided delicious high end cheeses with salad and fresh baguettes, and of course lovely wines. Tip: don't miss out on the Bordeux reds and the Rocamadour cheese.

The hospitality from Emilie & Mathias. Fantastic hosts! You are not only sleeping there - it’s an experience! Just a few minutes drive away from the highway- but you enter another world! Warmly recommend!

Emily and Matthias (the hosts) provided unmatched hospitality. We booked a stay for a few nights, drawn by the location, the bed and breakfast/restaurant concept, and the facilities. LaRiviere did not disappoint! The hosts were most gracious and extremely friendly and welcoming. They speak great english and provided us with excellent recommendations in the area for food, wineries, and tours. I would 100% recommend LaRiviere if you are considering visiting this region in France. We had an exceptional stay and are counting down our days until we can come back for another visit. Emilie and Mattheus are wonderful hosts. They made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We loved being next to the river and the surrounding views. The guest house has a homely charm and our bedroom was very comfortable and spacious. They provide a lovely French breakfast and each evening we enjoyed local wines accompanied by a selection of local cheeses and meats. We enjoyed our stay so much that we returned to stay here again at the end of our holiday. Highly recommended.

The setting was comfortable and relaxing and we were warmly welcomed by the Hosts.. Satnav found the house really quickly. Our room (Nature) was very well arranged and everything we needed was there -the colours were calm and inviting. The lounge area was comfortable and quiet with sofas and round tables where we ate our evening meal - a large baked-Camembert, followed by duck and a tasty dessert. Wine too. Breakfast was very country French both filling and tasty. A totally relaxed stay!

We had a wonderful stay at LaRiviere and couldn't recommend it enough! Hosts Émilie and Mathias were welcoming, fun, and full of knowledge about the area with great recommendations. The room was incredibly clean and spacious, and the meals served were excellent. The property has many areas to relax, and the pigmy goats were definitely a highlight! We will definitely be back next time we visit the Bordeaux region!

The owners are wonderful. Very kind and caring - nothing too much trouble, very welcoming! Peace and quiet - it’s in the middle of vineyards by the river-quite isolated which suited us! It is lovely, rustic and charming-with goats, a very friendly dog and cat-yet spotlessly clean and a very comfortable bed. We were served a welcome drink on a jetty over the river to watch surfers on the Dordogne bore. Breakfast was all fresh and home-made -very good indeed, served on a balcony overlooking the river.

An Excellent rural retreat run by a lovely couple. They were assisted by a friendly German shepherd, a fluffy cat and six little goats. The breakfast was traditional with a variety of pastries and bread. We had an evening meal of home cooked duck which was delicious. Our room was the nature and was very comfortable and cosy. We would have liked to stay for a few more days to explore the area but had only booked the one night, I have kept their details and will book again for longer

Very lovely hosts whom were very welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome! Excellent location if you are looking for a rural, tranquil place to recharge and unwind, right on the banks of the Dordogne. Dinner was excellent. Nice selection of local beers and wine as well. Breakfast was great with some homemade jams and plenty of choice.
