The location was very easy to find. It was clean and comfortable. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. This was a return stay for me, so I wanted to stay here again, as I was very pleased the last stay here. It's a quiet location and I very much appreciate that it is.

Unfortunately, meals were not being served at the time of my stay, as the cook was recovering from a serious health issue, and was not able to work the kitchen. While I was given a room upstairs in the main lodge, I was grateful that I could climb the stairs, as this place does not have an elevator. They were very helpful is assisting me with my luggage so I didn't have to carry my bags up the flight of stairs. Other than that, the accommodations were excellent.

Very cute boutique hotel, log-style construction. 2nd floor room was very large, bed comfy. Great value for the cost (NOT a 4-5 star hotel BUT exceptional for travelers or those staying near Bonners Ferry). Very cozy atmosphere with friendly staff. Owner has a gourmet international chef background and has a small restaurant/bar attached - regret we weren't able to schedule a meal there but definitely will next time through.

The only reason I gave a 9, not 10, rating was it does front a highway with 24 hour traffic. That being said the road noise was faint and didn't affect our ability to sleep. Wasn't a negative for us but you should be aware the owner's VERY gentle St Bernard dog does reside in the hotel's main floor/lobby area - really a non-issue for us but may be to others

I always stay in a disabilty room as I have difficulty getting in a tub/shower combo. I'm so grateful they have a room with just a walk-in shower even though they are a small facility. I found the bed pretty hard for me and woke up with a back ache but the hot shower worked out the kinks and I was good to go. The room is always spotless, even if the decor is lodge/tropical, lol. The towels are nice and absorbant and the bedding smells fresh.

Maybe get the decor all over to the lodge design as it is a "lodge" and put an extra blanket in the room.

The room was very clean and spacious. The couch and bed were both comfortable and we had everything we needed. The little fireplace added to the coziness of the room. We enjoyed how close it was to the Kootenai Wildlife Refuge and took the auto tour ride drive a couple of times where we saw many deer, water fowl, and bald eagles.

The Internet was not great, possibly because we were in the room that was furthest from the office. There was a lack of accessible outlets and the TV was small for the size of the room, although we didn't spend much time watching TV anyway.

Really nice place to stay rooms are nice and beds are really comfy and I like that they give you extra hour to check out the check out time is 12 I believe other places they want you out bye 11. Grate service. Just a little bit sad restaurant was close. But they did have a small selection of breakfast that morning right next to there office and restaurant.

Adorable lodge and very well kept! Husband loved that there was seating and ashtrays for smokers at each door so they could enjoy their time comfortably. Clean and uncluttered rooms.

The only complaint was the bed was as hard as cement! I sleep good on firm mattress but this one was like a rock and we both are still sore two days later.

Nice room, pet friendly, sitting on the porch, jacuzzi tub, huge comfy bed, dinner in our room (because of dog) from hotel owner and chef was superb. Manager at our arrival was very nice and professional. Reasonably priced.

Some dog owners don't care and let their dogs soil area rugs. I think that went unnoticed before we arrived, but I put them away and pointed it out. I saw a for sale sign out front, I hope if it does change hands, I can find the chef again.

Front porch was decorated for Halloween and was a great welcoming sight. We had dinner at the restaurant on site which was excellent. A first class meal and plenty of it. We also had a “grab” breakfast which was a lovely surprise. Staff were friendly and helpful. A great place to stay. I only wish we had more time there.

Good location as a stopover from Seattle to Glacier National Park. Kim was a great person to have running the show. She saw that we received the extra linens needed for pull out sofa and extra towels. Also provided a bag of ice. We had a misunderstanding with booking.com as to number of beds. We worked with what was available. It was a very comfortable stay.

The staff was warm and inviting, as if they were old neighbors that were so happy you came back for a visit. The place was close enough to town that it was easy to get there each night, but far enough away that it didn’t feel like you were in the middle of chaos.

We wish the restaurant would be open year round.
