The location was amazing!! Waking up to the sun rising over the water with a room the opened up right on to the beach was incredible. The staff from the front desk to the cleaning crew were so cheerful and so good at their job, it was a pleasure to talk to them. Even the guy stocking the breakfast was pleasant. The hotel is right on the beach where my event started. I could just roll out of bed and walk out to the event. It was such a great place to stay. The bed was comfortable. The rooms were very clean. Again, the staff was amazing and very competent.

The hotel shows a lot of wear. They do their best to keep things up. If you stay here, keep in mind that the hotel is about 60 years old.

This was a perfect place for us for a night. The location is superb - right on the lake and with its own beachfront. We took advantage of the $15 resort fee and with that were able to use the paddleboards, which was lots of fun. Our room had two Queens, which was helpful for us (party of 3) and we enjoyed the balcony looking out at the lake. Town is just a couple of blocks away. This was a perfect spot. Staff was helpful and friendly.

The facilities are a bit tired and are ready for a re-fresh. While it was nice to have breakfast included, it wasn't very appealing to us.

Visiting family & attending Lost in the 50’s, We booked at last minute b/c a great price came up and this gorgeous hotel has Lake Ponderay n beach right in walking distance!!! Guy that maintained the breakfast was super nice n right on top of keeping everything stocked!!! Everyone was out of their way friendly and accommodating

My water heater exploded, and I needed a home away from home. I had no definitive timeline because of insurance lack of action. The staff here worked with me while I struggled through the process. I will miss this place.

I don't like that this hotel will be torn down for good.

I love that the Best Western Edgewater is a short walk from downtown. I am also somewhat of a railfan so I love that the property is right by the tracks, yet any slight rumble from trains or even kids running up and down the halls are easily mitigated. I stayed four nights and slept like a baby. Also there is a nice shoreline trail just north of the property, not to mention all the paved biking/walking paths around town. And the views of the lake and the mountains to the east can really sooth the soul!

Not much to dislike. I guess the Continental breakfast is just okay, nothing spectacular. Could use a little more variety per the hot food available.

I love the location and that we can walk out to the beach. I also love they have the option to rent paddle boards and bikes and all these fun things at the resort.

Our AC in our room barely worked and it was so hot. The breakfast was not good at all.

The best thing was the location. I had to take my daughter to the amtrak station where the train goes through in the middle of the night and often isn’t on time. It took 2 minutes to get her there.

The furniture seemed old although it was in good condition. The disadvantage of the location was that when a freight train went by everything vibrated like we were having a small earthquake. It didn’t keep us awake though.

Nice view and comfortable beds.

The resort didn't honor the rate of $873.97. We were charged $927.17. The staff thinks it was reflected in the Sandpoint Resort City Tax that recently went into effect. I have tried to contact the manager twice to ask why I was not informed about the tax before I checked out. This miscommunication will probably result in our not staying there next year for our detecting event.

fantastic location, great place in walking distance to dwontown and its right on the water

you could hear everything above you. the bird poop needs to be cleaned up on the grass I would not even let me dog on the grass, let along walk on it myself.

Location on the lakeside was lovely. The beds were comfortable. We were able to park near the room. The town is easily walkable from the hotel. Lots of bars and restaurants to choose from.

Garden areas in front of hotel to beach and lake need some TLC Breakfast was basic.
