Outstanding breakfast - we were given tickets for a free breakfast at the restaurant across the parking lot. It was a very nice surprise.

We were unable to contact the hotel via Booking.com. We looked up hotel number on internet and the message on their phone directed us back to their website if we weren’t calling for a new reservation. We were just trying to let them know we’d be checking in quite a bit later than estimated at time of booking. Booking.com should be able to give us the phone number and the hotel should accept a call regarding existing reservation!

Clean, great location in Ponderay to access either shuttle or drive to Schweitzer Mountain Resort. Offers two hot tubs and small indoor pool, outside patio with gas fire pits, and storage for skis or bikes. Staff was top notch. Breakfast was basic, but served the need. Coffee, tea and other hot beverages available 24 hours in common area, which is spacious and offers seating, fireplace and some games for guests.

For access to Schweitzer, you do have to either drive up, or utilize the efficient shuttle system from the Red Barn, which is close to the hotel.

The location, the staff is wonderful and the beds are very comfortable. Having breakfast at the restaurant across the parking lot is nice and the wait staff are always welcoming.

When the breakfast was removed all of the microwaves were removed from the lobby as well. Most of the time we stay at least five days and it would be nice to have a microwave to heat food, this would be a nice convenience since there are none in the rooms. Also, having a fridge that works better would also be nice.

The breakfast was outstanding! It was a full buffet at the restaurant across the parking lot. The staff - everyone one of them - were friendly and helpful. They took time to chat, too. Since there was only one chair in the room, and my husband had it, I went to their comfortable lobby to read for awhile.

Only one chair in the room. But truly, there was not room for another chair. There was a nice window seat, though. Even so, I went to the lobby to sit and read.

We have stayed at the Ruby often since it opened. The hotel needs an investment of money for repairs. The sink in our room is loose on the wall, the caulk is not holding and pulling away. The bed is firm but so high of the floor that this older handicapped woman found it difficult to get on it. I feel I should bring a step stool in the future. Moving breakfast to the restaurant was an excellent idea. The place needs to be spruced up but is still a good value place to stay. Love the enclosed dog area.

Cozy and comfortable. We really liked the pool and hot tub.

One morning there wasn’t much food for the continental breakfast, so we had to buy food to eat. I was told that they got cleaned out over presidents weekend because people were hoarding food. I would also have liked to see someone cleaning the eating surfaces. I wish that I had brought my own Clorox wipes because I came down with influenza A on our last day.

Perfect location for access to Schweitzer. Convenient and plentiful parking. Close access to stores and restaurants. Onsite hot tub (after skiing) and pool. Ski storage and waxing tables. Great value!

Mini fridge didn't work all that well and HVAC unit blew cold air even when on heat, and it came on at night even when in off position.Made the stay a tad bit uncomfortable.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was very clean and quiet. The pool area was also very clean and airy. Not many hotels have free hot cocoa anymore, but Hotel Ruby did! I appreciated that because I hate coffee! Lol! Overall, a great stay. We will be back!

Hot tubs were really hot! It was hard to enjoy for more than a couple minutes.

I loved the park which had a water area with two fountains along with a built up hill to sled down in the winter, and extra things like the pool table and a place to eat that didn't have a TV (if you want to watch TV go to your room), and the perk of lending bikes or sleds (depending on the season). I didn't use the pool, but they had two hot tubs as well as two fire pits to socialize at. This place had so much more than the other motels and it was less expensive.

There was nothing about this place I didn't like. It far exceeded my expectations. I was so happy with this place I actually took pictures and shared it with all my family......which I never do.

Great outdoor area with fire pits connected to pool. I like that the free breakfast was from an actual restaurant. Didn’t expect to have the room cleaned!

The room smelled horrible. The pool says 18+ after 9 pm but there were kids in the pool until 10 pm. Front desk snapped at my bf for asking to turn the gas on the fire pits.
