Lovely friendly staff, good food in their restaurant. Relaxed, almost family atmosphere. Cross country ski tracks just across the road from the hotel so very easy snd quick access to first class cross country ski tracks.

It was all fine. A slight drawback for some might be that its location outside Ruka village centre means you need to pick up and return your skis in the village and get there if you want more choice in places to eat. However you can easily get to the village by picking up a taxi from the hotel - about 16 euros at the time of writing. If you are doing downhill rather than cross country skiing then somewhere in the village itself might be better for you. But it’s perfect for cross country.

Excellent choices at breakfast buffet including warm dishes, very tasty Lapland dinner buffet on Saturdays, Tuesdays and Thursdays; very friendly and helpful staff creating a family atmosphere in the hotel; sauna available in the hotel; very good location for cross country skiing trails, which are located just opposite to the hotel, though it takes about 15-20 minutes to get to the main village on foot

Not all the facilities in the hotel are very modern, though they do work well; but given that the hotel has probably not been renovated for a while it was still a bit pricey; the general public slots for sauna are only 50 minutes for men and women each, which is not a lot, additional slots need to be paid for - an open slot of 1.5 hours would be appreciated (or a joint men / women slot, but mixed sauna seems to be rare in Finland)

The staff were excellent - very friendly and they really went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable.

Breakfast was ok, though nothing special. I could have used more information about sauna, it would have been nice to go, but when we arrived in the evening it was not possible. Clean, nice rooms and peaceful.

We heard the staff commenting quite directly to some other customers how they wouldn't serve breakfast to the table. The guests had arrived a bit too laite for the breakfast, but still we think it sounded a bit rude.

Fantastic location just a 20 min walk into Ruka village! Food was great on the evening although the breakfast could have been better. The staff were very helpful and friendly too

The room/bathroom was a little dated and the curtains didn't fully cover the window in my room. The corridor to my room was very dark and could have benefited from some automatic lights

Cozy hotel with a stunning view of Rukatunturi! The restaurant has a very interesting menu and delicious food. Our room was big and comfortable and had an amazing view from the window! The sauna is really good too. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Everything was great!
