Being across from Empoli's train station, I expected a bare-bones accommodation. What a wonderful surprise to enter and realize this is a top-grade place to stay. While the room was snug, it was perfectly comfortable for a one-night stay. It has little atmosphere - obviously designed for people like us who appreciate a good night's sleep more than a "charming" room - but the windows were absolutely sound-proof. The air conditioning and wifi were completely dependable. Entry and exit were very easy, with a key or key fob, depending on time of day. And of course, there were dozens of restaurants and bars a short stroll away.

Breakfast was perfect. Service was excellent. Gave the feel of a family run Hotel but was done very professionally. Secured parking was a short walk away but was glad to get a safe spot. Train station was directly across the street giving us access to Siena and Florence. Room was very comfortable. Really liked this place.

Parking seems to be an issue everywhere in Italy. The only way this hotel could have been better was if there were a porte cohere where you could drive up and drop off your bags and then a parking spot right there. It really wasn't an issue and because of its prime location in the square wouldn't have been feasible even when it was constructed.

Hotel was walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in Empoli. Front desk staff were very nice, and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised to find our daughter had a separate adjoining room, instead of having to share ours. Very clean and comfortable room. Would stay here again when visiting family...

The room was attractive and comfortable and the breakfast selection was excellent. It was a quiet location without the crowds and parking troubles of Florence and Empoli provided many options for evening meals within a short walking distance of the hotel. The Il Sole provided excellent access to the railway station across the road with 25 minute access to the centre of Florence. The trains were clean and frequent. Fantastic.

The service was very good to help us with getting taxis as we had to go to a wedding they went above and beyond for us in a quiet place empoli.

We had to iron downstairs as they didnt trust us with it, not a huge inconvenience though. Also I got quite a few mosquito bites so could do with mosquito net around the bed

All of it. The placement, the facilities, the cleanliness, the staff were very nice and. Helpful. Would definitely recommend my friends in future.

The only itch we had was that on check in we got a nice aged gentleman to welcome us. The. Onlu thing was he did not speak English too well but he. Did his very best to make us feel welcomed. And understood. He helped us a lot though. Bless him!

Location. Beside railway station but very quiet. Room was lovely. Very modern and clean. People running the hotel were extremely pleasant and helpful. Empoli very convenient for Pisa. Siena and Florence.

Was happy with stay

Remodeled hotel, clean room, helpful staff, good breakfast.

Our only issue was that the area around the hotel did not feel safe at night. I thought convenience to the railroad station would be a plus but the area at night was a negative because of the men hanging out in the area.

Wonderful staff so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The room was delightful and very clean. Was made to feel very important and looked after

The one thing lacking was outdoor space but everything else made up for that

This was the perfect location for our trip, beside the train station with easy access to trains to Florence. The staff were very friendly and helpful , we could leave our luggage there before check-in and it was brought to the room for us. The room was recently done up and spotlessly clean, with a view overlooking the station and a small park. Breakfast was included coffee, juices, pastries , yogurt etc again the young woman serving was very pleasant and helpful. This hotel ticked all the boxes for our short stay and I would highly recommend it
