The hotel and grounds are very beautiful. We wandered the property and enjoyed the bird watching. We also had a lovely horse ride through the nearby coffee plantations. Dinner at the restaurant was lovely and we had fun playing pool beforehand. This is definitely a special place to spend time at.

We opted for the junior suite and the bathroom was in quite poor condition. It's not up to date, but the issue was mostly that it was mildewy, kind of grimy, and the tub drained very poorly such that a short shower resulted in standing in water. We were a bit disappointed too that the balcony had a lot of bird poop on it. And the outdoor cushions both on the balcony and at the pool seemed to be suffering a lot from grime.

A lovely, quiet property great for relaxing. There were bikes available to borrow to get around the property. The rooms were nice and clean. The building is beautiful. We did a horse back riding tour from the property which was great - would recommend

Once you are there you can’t go anywhere else! Taxis are difficult and things are far away. This meant we had to eat at the restaurant each night which was relatively expensive and we would have got tired of menu after a few days. Breakfast average, choices were very limited.

The fantastic location, the nice staff, the beauty of the place We decided to upgrade to a suite and that was the best to do. If not for that, the review score would have been a 6. The suite needs an update but anyway lighter, beautiful and huge. There was airco and jacuzzi! Thanks Krissia, Tatiana and the cleaning staff!

Food (other than breakfast) was pricy and missed relation quality/price. Just ok and expensive. We stayed in room 11 the first day and it was dark, hot (no airco) and getting all the noise of the pool..

We love coming to Casa Turire - whether it's for lunch, overnight, or coffee and the amazing desserts (the Sugar Cane Elado is incredible and an original by the chef!). The building has lots of areas to explore, relax, read from, or work from, and our room had a balcony which was gorgeous in the morning. The grounds are gorgeous with trails and beautiful views. The staff were fantastic, and I booked in for a massage which was heavenly, too.

Nothing, we loved it and will be back soon!

Had 3 night stay at Casa Turire. Very nice place. We enjoyed, great breakfast. Clean comfortable accommodations. Staff were very nice also. The people of Turrialba are very friendly.

Only negative really would be the cost at the restaurant on site, very expensive for the size of the meal for certain choices.

We liked this old style property. I found it very romantic, nice and quiet. The rooms are huge and the beds comfortable. We liked the nature and the trails and the horses. We did horse riding even if the weather was so-so and still enjoyed it. I had a wonderful horse called Pinta. Our dinner was very good and not too expensive. I had an octopus and it was fresh and tasty. I can only recommend this place.

Only the weather disappointed us ;)

Casa Turire is a real hotel, not a lodge, in Hacienda style, located in beautiful surroundings, so that you can perfectly relax. The hotel itself is also nice, rooms are big, the staff is super friendly. Anyhow the place gives the impression that it has seen better times which is a pity because of its beauty. A little bit of refurbishment would do very well. Especially when you consider that it is at the upper price end for accommodation in Costa Rica. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay there.

Value for money in the restaurant is unfortunately not given - neither from food quality nor from service. The only issue is that food outside of the hotel - we went to one other place - was not the least better, almost worse. So either this area is not the place for decent food or we just had bad luck.

Nice building in a colonial style, the organic farm nearby is really worth visiting. The farmers are super kind The surrounding park is great

The staff at the reception and the breakfast lady were a bit rough… The property has a luxury style but it’s not super clean, the taps and shower are full of tarter

The property has a real sense of elegance and style, is beautifully decorated and furnished, and the gardens are lovely. We also enjoyed the pool area given the very hot weather we had during our stay. The meals we ate in the restaurant were excellent.

The property is in a lovely location but if you don't have your own car it's a fairly expensive taxi ride into Turrialba.

The staff was very nice. The food was very good for dinner and lunch, the grounds are beautiful and the shop had nice unique items for purchase.

When I arrived I asked the lady at the front desk if they had a suite and we would pay the difference. I think she assumed we were 2 men traveling and wanted 2 beds and said, no that room only has one bed. I was traveling with my Gay Partner. Maybe your staff could use some LGBTQ training to be sensitive to these issues and be careful when making assumptions. We would've gladly stayed in a King Sized bed and spent more money but she assumed we probably wanted 2 beds.
