big thanks The Nordic Swan Ecolabel- garbage sorting and blackout curtains plus a very special breakfast - so rich, so tasty and so sensitive to everyone - taking into account the wishes of tea lovers and dishes for babies (a mug with a Moomin face)... to be honest - I couldn't try everything in an hour and a half... three different halls for sitting with different milieu. The 10m pool and sauna added nice touches, the location is super by the lake and in the city center, close to the university. very friendly service at all levels and of course we can't leave out the bed, the cups and the signs that all talked about storage or were humorous and mood-creating. Scandinavian, more modern or art nouveau furniture - in any case, the overnight stay made you feel like coming here again

Sauna/pool were small but nice and clean and available when I thought they wouldn't be. A++. Will definitely come back next year if the facilites are the same. Breakfast had a good selection as well which was also a positive surprise.

Very few things not to like really...no free tea/water heater in the room? That is about it.

They are very welcoming for the fluffy family members! Our Kaapo got a little welcome gift bag, and the hotel room had instructions for local vets, parks, etc. The location is great and the airco works well.

The rooms and facilities are a bit outdated, but everything was comfortable and clean.

The service was good, and the staff was very well-mannered and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, and I highly recommend making a reservation at this hotel. It has a great atmosphere, and there is a bus stop nearby.

I just wonder in such a luxurious not-cheap hotel why parking spots are not free for its customers? 4-5 star hotels usually have this feature. In the breakfast, karjalanpiirakka topping was cold :(

Location is perfect in this small town. This is a simple, but good standard hotel for a few days. Shower was great.

Breakfast was ok, but you can get tired of the standard Scandic breakfast formula.

Location for the holtel is great, right in the middle of the city. Lake is one block away and the walking centre a block to the other direction. Room was good size for traveling alone, had some free floorspace as well. Bathroom/toilet was good and clean. Staff was very helpful in providing information for places to eat etc. Breakfast was very good.

As the hotel is in the middle of town, parking space is limited. There are places but everything is pay only - and the prices are a bit steep. My only complain with the room itself would be the a/c which was overly active, no matter how you activated it and if you had it on, feet were cold.

Excellent location between the train station and walking distance to the University. Good breakfast and comfortable rooms.

We had initially stayed at a Scandic in Helsinki, the breakfast at Jyvaskyla was not quite at the same level of excellence. But still very good.

Excellent breakfast options, comfortable bed, clean room. Location is of course exceptional. Exceeded expectations.

Some breakfast items were quite old and TV in the room didn't work.
