Casa Republica Barranco is a beautiful historic building, in the center of Barranco with walking distance to many excellent eateries, a block from the cliff looking down at the ocean, and 30-min nice walk to Larcomar. The staff is very friendly and efficient, from the reception desk to the breakfast host. Breakfast is a bit on the generic side but it works fine for us; also the dining room is open 24/7, which is nice if you would like a sip of coffee/tea late into the night. There is no elevator, but the staff would help with the luggages for rooms upstairs. The bar on the roof top is very cozy — we hung out there for a few hours waiting for our late night flight and the staff handed out a couple blankets for us to keep warm, in addition to the heat lamp — I'm surprise that it is not very popular?

Bathroom door is a bit leaky when shower, but it's just a minor thing.

The hotel is in a fabulous location. So close to Barranca and many great restaurants. It’s on a very quiet street so we had a wonderful nights sleep. We found the staff extremely helpful with helpful recommendations. The breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed a welcome drink on the roof top bar which was a lovely touch. The room was filled with wonderful details. The soaps, hair care products and lotions were of a high quality. It was our favourite hotel of the journey that was nearly 1 month at that time. I thoroughly recommend this hotel.

After a lovely breakfast in the hotel I found the boxed breakfast which we took to the airport a little disappointing. But that’s so minor

it’s a beautiful house in a great location in Barranco which felt very safe for us. Close to bars, restaurants and sites. great breakfast. all the staff were very helpful and polite with great English.

There is quite a lot of noise in the mornings from the staff cleaning the breakfast dishes in the garden so the noise echoed upwards to the rooms. Small thing - but our room was very spacious and it would be nice to have an armchair instead of needing to sit on the bed. also it was fine as we are married but if you were sharing with a friend, you might want a door on the bathroom.

The staff, particularly those working at the gorgeous rooftop bar/restaurant and at breakfast, were friendly, kind, helpful and super fun to talk to. We stayed for 2 nights and didn't want to leave: The location is perfect for exploring Barranco and Miraflores, it is easy to get a taxi or Uber to other parts of Lima, and it is on a lovely street. The building is beautiful and inviting and our room was spotless and the beds very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing! The dining room is charming, filtered water is always available, and the variety and quantity of food at breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended.

We were absolutely delighted with this hotel! A wonderful, unique place with an incredible atmosphere. The rooms are a true work of art—every corner is thoughtfully designed, and they are some of the most beautiful we’ve ever stayed in. The staff were kind, welcoming, and helpful to a fault. The room was enormous and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was huge, though oddly laid out. The building and garden were beautiful as well.

The 108 room has a glass wall that faces the garden, which is also the bar, so it can be very loud. Also, the only way to have privacy is to pull a giant blackout curtain across that wall, which makes the room very dark, but the lighting is sparse in most of the room. The bathroom on the other hand has 4 different light switches and sources on two panels, which is also the light to the dressing area. The safe is very low to the ground, making the instructions and operation difficult for someone with a bad back like me. But other than these quirks it was very nice.

Loved the breakfast! Romero was very helpful. The location was perfect.

We didn't know we could order omelets until we saw someone receive one. It was only on the 3rd day of our stay a card was desplayed in the buffet area. The omelets were delicious! The air conditioner in our room was a bit noisy and wasn't working the first night because of dead batteries in the remote. It was fixed very quickly when we told the staff. Our room faced the courtyard which was lovely for sitting but was noisy when people were congregating and staff was working. However, it was not noisy betweent the hours of 10pm to 8am which was great!

The staff! They were fantastic!... the whole team! Loved the food, the ambience and the location. Also very comfortable beds. Very relaxed and professional at the same time. We will be back!

There wasn't really anything we did not like. Would suggest perhaps a shower accessible to guests who have checked out, stored their luggage with the hotel and must spend the day in Lima while waiting for a late flight out.

All the staff are absolutely wonderful; very friendly, welcoming, good communication, and helpful. The room was very comfortable and the bed was the best I think I have ever slept in. The breakfast was very good with a wide range of options. We would recommend using their bicycles to ride along the ocean front - there was a a cycle track all the way. The roof top bar is perfect for an early evening drink. The hotel is elegant and quiet and well located in the Barranco neighbourhood which felt safe and welcoming.

We are not sure, if it was the owner himself. We played cards in the garden and enjoyed the sun. The owner put on some music. We felt disturbed and moved the speaker. He laughed at us and has made it louder. We perceived this behavior as extremely rude. Nonetheless, the staff and hotel itself are fantastic!
