Breakfast was variable - Depends on the time one turns up for breakfast. Nevertheless, it was okay.

Some noise in the gym, which was just next to my room. Early risers who probably didn't realise that running on the threadmill at about 6am was a nuisance for me. Gladly the gentleman at the reception said there's meant to be a time restriction on use of the gym. Sadly there's no notice to that effect. I bet it's been sorted.

The rooftop restaurant serves a breakfast buffet with a great assortment of delicious choices. The panorama windows and spacious terrace offer fantastic views of the city and the icebergs floating by in Disko Bay.

Obviously every hotel has a ground floor and first floor where the view is less than fantastic, but I'd be very unhappy if I paid a premium price for a modern hotel showing panoramic views on their website and I got stuck with a lower-floor room looking out to the gravel parking lot or neighbouring abandoned shacks. We were on the 2nd floor with a view to 3 such houses and could just peek above the rooftops to glimpse the iceberg-filled bay. It was acceptable but certainly not what we had hoped for.

Our room didn't have anywhere to unpack (no hangers, shelf, drawers, cupboard, nothing at all) or even tidy away our bags which was a pain given we were there for a week

This is a recently build, modern hotel which is great plus. The view from the rooftop restaurant when eating breakfast or dinner is stunning. Beware however and check the "cons"...

Watch out what kind of room you are reserving. I had 2 separate reservations. One was cheaper and one was far more expensive. This is the first time in my life when I wanted to downgrade! The window and view from the cheaper room was far more superior than from the more expensive room. I felt very disappointed for paying more and getting less. I've uploaded the photos of "windows" for you to understand. Unfortunately the hotel staff said "this is how it is and we cannot help you". This is very disappointing for this price tag. Honestly I don't know if I would pickup this hotel again.

Hotel Ilulissat is not only physically emerges from the city but by standards of comfort as well. This hotel is very comfortable, clean, well equipped compared to other hotels not only in Greenland but anywhere in the world. The rooftop bar provides unimaginable view to the city and to the icebergs passing by the bay of Ilulissat. The room is clean, comfortable and spacious. The bathroom is also clean and well equipped. WiFi, USB charging is available.

They said they provide the best breakfast in Greenland which might be an exaggeration.

Weird behavior during breakfast - when breakfast finish hour is approaching they simply tell you to leave, cause prep for lunch starts. So you cannot stay and enjoy your coffee or else. Staff is collecting food already half an hour before breakfast ends and general impression of disorganization is present. Rooms are very tiny, but have all that is needed. Cleaning was unpredictable, sometimes it happened and sometimes not even if explicitly requested with the door sign.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional especially John and Grace in the restaurant. Thea baked amazing gluten free bread and cookies. Vivio was friendly and excellent member of house keeping staff. The reception staff were very helpful and accommodating. The breakfasts and dinner menu delicious!

the hotel is perfectly located in the centre, close and convenient for all shops, cafes, supermarket and the tour agencies! the staff were always friendly and welcoming, good clear communication beforehand on arranging transport, and were quick to help out with luggage storage and airport taxis. the breakfast variety was great, but even better were the views from the breakfast room and the outside balcony...perfect for a first-time view over the city!

Hotel Ilulissat, as the locals call it, is centrally located and within walking distance of many attractions and tour agency offices. The hotel itself was fairly modern (by Ilulissat standards) and the staff was courteous. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was functional. The best part about this hotel is the dining area on the top floor with panoramic views of beautiful Ilulissat. We had a couple of lovely breakfasts there and also enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the views. Would love to return someday!

We had a room on a lower floor and it got a bit noisy in the neighborhood when the window was open. Nothing significant; just wish it had been quieter in the middle of the night.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Ilulissat. It’s quiet, well set up and with helpful staff. We had fantastic views from our room overlooking the icebergs and town. It seems the best hotel for location as it is in the town centre so you can walk to everything. Although if required taxis are inexpensive and were quick to arrive. The Hotel also has alternative pillows available (memory foam) and our room had good blockout curtains. There is a rooftop restaurant with a veranda with spectacular views. Menus were small but the food good. Breakfast is included in the room rate.

When I tried to drop off my laundry on Thursday night, I was told that the laundry service only operates on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I’m not sure why a Hotel would do this and it isn’t mentioned anywhere in the literature and was not advised when I collected a bag from reception. Whilst we had a great room and were very happy with it, it was located opposite the lifts and next to the staircase so it was noisy when people were accessing these.
