The room was comfortable & clean. We were directly in front of the smaller swimming pool in the terrace building I believe. There was a cute seating area & fire pit out there. We really enjoyed the main pool area too with drink service out there. The 9 Flags bar has delicious drinks. Check-in was very easy. The staff were all friendly & so professional. We had dinner at the Republic Steakhouse & experienced the most incredible steaks & fresh bread. The Old Fashioneds from the bar were delicious & the service was great. We had breakfast at the Cafe & it was really good too. The location was perfect, walking distance to historic downtown, where there are many shops, restaurants, a brewery, etc. We will definitely return to the Fredonia as soon as possible.

We have stayed several times and have felt very secure as we entertained our Grand Children for several hours.

A bit pricy, but I understand, so glad to see the Fredonia open and alive…. How about special rates for for past residents that have seen the Fredonia at its best! Anything that older folk , certainly could bust your occupancy rate… better a full house at 1/2 rates than a half m/t house at full rates…. I love it fill it up! Just visited an enjoyed an evening out on the terrace with our children and grandkids for the evening, so safe, so relaxed….

Our room was in a good location. Close to the steakhouse, cafe, pool, and fire pit. The room was large.

The price for the room is crazy expensive. The ladies in the room next to us were up until at least 3 am laughing and talking so loud. The pillows were awful and my neck hurt so bad the next morning. Also, the air-conditioner could not keep the room cool. It was only cool while it was blowing. As soon as it kicked off it got hot again. Check in take way longer than it should. I have everything pre-booked with all my info. It shouldn't take longer than 2 minutes to get a copy of my ID and credit card. The parking there is not great. There was a wedding there and SFA Ring Dip, so it was so hard to find a spot.

The room was beautiful and spacious, and we enjoyed the big windows overlooking downtown. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel is updated esthetically, but it still honors the time period in which it was built. The cafe inside the hotel was delicious!

The bathroom was a bit small for a family to share, and it was small in comparison to the spaciousness of the room. However, it was a very nicely appointed bathroom.

My wife and I stayed here because we were attending a funeral. After the services us and about 40 guest came back to the hotel to eat in the cafe. At first we told them it would be about 15 people and they had no problems seating us, it turns out it ended up being 40 people. They had no problems arranging seating for everyone and the service was excellent and the food was great ! If we ever come back to stay in the area we will definitely stay at your hotel !

Alea was our waitress at lunch. She did a great job, smiling, courteous, very attentive. Megan was amazing at First Street Restaurant. We sat at the low bar for dinner and enjoyed watching not only her skills, but the genuineness and ease of her interactions with the customers. Her enthusiasm for her work was evident.

Always love breakfast at First City and these 2 days did not disappoint! Missed the Republic Steakhouse this time around but will be sure to catch up next visit; I love that place. The staff in the gift shop and front desk continue to amaze and set the standard for being courteous and respectful without coming across as it being fake. Love the Terrace room 135 as usual and cannot wait to return once again

Still wish at least 1 of the 4 pillows was soft. The service at First City seemed a bit 'off' this time around from their usual stellar waitstaff; not bad, just not as on top of things.

This is a fantastic hotel. It has been tastefully updated while retaining the character, charm, and history. The room is nicely designed, and the bathroom is very functional considering its small size. The swimming pool is great and so are the restaurants and bar. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

There is no towel rack in the bathroom for a hand towel.

The Fredonia is absolutely charming! The lobby, pool, sitting areas, etc are all decorated with mid-century retro furniture and accessories. It is so cute inside with a modern twist. It would be an ideal place for a group meeting or even a reunion. Staff was courteous, gift shop and restaurant were great, and the entire vibe was fun and unique.

The rooms themselves were very modern, not like the retro look of the rest of the hotel and ours was a little shabby compared to the common areas of the hotel. This is an OLD building so I appreciate them keeping the external portions pretty true to the time,(astroturf terrace and braided bistro set outside the door and white painted wrought iron trellaces). But I wish the rooms were more unique and special like the rest of the hotel.

I love the location! What really took it over the top was the boutique, the bar, and restaurant. The beds were really comfy and seemed clean. I liked that the corner rooms had more space. The hotel staff were very good in accommodating our requests.

The hotel needs a facelift in the common areas such as elevator and hallways. I don't like having to put in a daily request to have our rooms cleaned. I believe that should go without being said. And even then, it didn't seem like our rooms were actually cleaned... just the beds were made and towels were replenished.
