Fabulous stay - the executive suite room was well worth the extra - the view was stunning whilst sitting in bed. Resteraunt served great food, Amy was very helpful and organised onward travel back to phuket (Ferry tickets and Taxi pickup from Ranong Pier). The Resort has a Tuk-Tuk to bring you and your backpacks/suitcases from the ferry terminal and back again at the end of the stay. Ask as soon as you are getting off the ferry - don't walk to the end of the pier as the tuk-tuk is usually waiting ON the pier for boats - just call ahead to Amy and be sure she knows you are arriving on the ferry and it will be there for you. The location is great - about five minutes from the Hippie Bar - which is probably the greatest bar on Earth - literally a warren of driftwood held together with (hemp) ropes (no plastic here). Anyway - Koh Phayam is like Thailand was twenty five years ago - a million miles away from party-town Phuket and lots of lovely uncrowded beaches. Marina Resort is one of the nicest frendliest places - book a stay - you won't be disappointed! :-)

Having to leave........ but we will be back!!!

We stayed here for 6 nights in January in one of the newer A/C bungalows (#10). We were very happy with the price, location, and amenities. The restaurant had a good selection of food, the resort offered kayaks and tubes for enjoying the water, and the daily happy hour (100baht) cocktails were a nice treat. The resort manager was friendly and helped us book tickets and transfers for our next journey. We easily rented motor bikes and explored the island. We would stay here again!

Other guests "reserved" the best beach chairs by leaving a towel on them before breakfast...and would keep them the whole day. Not fair but pretty common elsewhere...

Very friendly and helpful staff. The manager helps you to organize trips and arranges bike rent. You can borrow beach towels, kayak and floating donuts for free. The resort is located in a beautiful and quiet bay. The sunsets are spectacular. You will be served a welcome drink on your arrival.

Great location on the best beach at Koh Phayam. Staff were lovely. Bungalow was clean and quiet in the jungle.

The restaurant food was not as good as other restaurants nearby such as Knock, knock. Breakfast is ok. The exchange rate when we extended was more that we would have paid in Thai Baht instead of GBP. We ended up paying for 2 exchange rates and fees. Smoking everywhere in the restaurant and breakfast area was disappointing. You have to organise your plans around housekeeping, it would be nice if we didn't have to give up our key.

We got the deluxe AC garden view room and was excellent. Super quiet, clean, hot shower, but zero wifi The location is perfect, restaurant/bar with sea view, they have lounges on the beach, Thai mat on an elevated platform. Honestly we loved every minute there

I think the Thai management and staff might have to pick up a bit more awareness in treating customers. We got a few mistakes without an apology, few situations where we had no idea what was happening and waited for no reason, but seemed we were “the hassle”. The wifi also should be something to be fixed as it works well all over the island and on the beach front also with a Thai sim (we had DTAC Tourist)

The rooms were lovely with great ac. The beds were comfy with room to hang clothes. Towels were provided for the beach & the beach itself was clean. Drinking water was provided each day. The restaurant offered a good selection of food & a happy hour...or two!! For coffee addicts it's worth noting that kettles are not provided in the rooms. It is readily available however in the restaurant!

Amy and the whole Staff were awesome and helped us in so man ways (Pick Up from pier, renting Motorbikes, transfer Back to pier and further to Khao Lak). The Beach is great, the Resort and the Deluxe Bungalows as well. Only thing you could miss would be a fridge - but with energy being Sometimes complicated on the Island this is fine. The Sunset here are the best in Thailand.

these are the reasons this was not a solid ten: - there was a lot of loud construction work during the first 2-3 days of our stay. - during our last full day a huge group (20-30 people) of Chinese arrived and flooded the complete Resort. There were maybe 10 guests in total before. Since they arrived it was really loud. They started to run and scream around the resort the next morning at around 6 in the morning.

Everything - staff are excellent, there's nothing Amy doesn't know or can't sort ! Rooms (ours was sea-view) are large, beautiful, spotlessly clean, air-conditioned and with spacious bathrooms and hot shower. Lovely private outdoor seating area. Beautiful clean beach with chairs and loungers. Great food and reasonably priced bit also easy walking distance to other bars, restaurants and the iconic Hippie Bar.

Nothing - I'd stay for months given the chance!

This is a lovely little resort on a beautiful beach. The view bungalows was spacious with a nice deck. This is not a party area so evenings were quiet.

The wifi was terrible. Many people work while travelling so this is important. We had some business to do online and had to go elsewhere to get good wifi coverage. I hope they will resolve this as other places we've stayed at on the island had good wifi.

The Marina is paradise. The resort is unbelievably beautiful and quiet. The beach is astounding. From the minute we arrived,the staff went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. It was absolutely the perfect place to relax. Thank you Amy and Matt. We will be back.
